Casa Tequila is a small hole-in-the-wall type Mexican restaurant. It is very low key and likely a local favorite. The... atmosphere is not what you go here for, it's pretty deadly-dull, however, the staff was great! Served homemade tortilla chipssalsa to begin while checking out the menu. The salsa was fresh and really tasty. The hot salsa is really hot for the heatlovers! My entree was meh. The flavor was good, however, the Chimichanga was under cooked or sat in the sauce too long bc theinside and underneath was not crispy. The flavor of the shredded beef was great but the amount of it was, meh.. I would goback (for a 2nd experience) but probably try a different dish. I have been wanting to come to casa tequila for almost 2 years now but never had the chance to do so till today. I decided to... finally go for the very first time with my sister and our kids and we immediately fell in love. The restaurant itself is reallypretty and we enjoyed the location. We went in got sat and immediately got offered our drinks. We started off with a choriquezothat is not on the menu but they were kind to still provide it for us. It came out really hot and it was absolutely delicious weall enjoyed it very much. Chips and salsa were also very tasty. For my meal I ordered the enchiladas Ala crema with chickenabsolutely amazing. All of our food came out piping hot. My sister and our children also enjoyed their meal. Service was reallygreat as well, very friendly ladies. We will definitely be coming back again. Went here by +600 Google reviews, 4.5/5......., maybe it was better before they moved to the golf course.....?, I have no... experience of that time, maybe it was...? Like mentioned in the reviews, there are many Mexican restaurants in Highlands countyand this was NOT on top of of the list, nothing we got was more than average, quite bland and not really flavorful, except theGuacamole, which was good but quite small portion. The salsa praised in another review was probably the smallest portion I canremember getting served at any place, any time, and was just watery and hot. (I like flavorful food, but it has to tastesomething, not just burn) I have been to Mexico +20 times in during business trips and this is far from eating anything local inMexico. Casa Tequila produces some of... the best tasting Mexican dishes I have ever had the pleasure of trying.
