i love the ice cream from here but waiting an hour in a line for ice cream that is almost $10 for a small scoop is ridiculous. i... understand a bunch of stores are understaffed, but when i walked in, there was only one person behind the counter who wassupposed to take orders, scoop ice cream, and check people out. there needs to be better service for me to come back :( Read more
Tonight, we had an awesome visit to Ben and Jerry's in Lake Placid! Ann Marie was amazingly helpful and kind as she assisted me... in safely navigating getting a gluten free treat. She is part of the family who recently took over this location, and under newownership things couldn't be better! Ben & Jerry's has done a great job with their non-dairy flavors, and I was so excited to see that they have them available in... their scoop shops as well as in grocery store freezer aisles. They did have the option for a non-dairy sundae, which wasexciting. I don't think it was necessarily worth what it cost (more than three scoops costs, and the sundae only comes with twoscoops). Additionally, I thought it was weird that they only put the chocolate sauce on top of the whipped topping. I likesauce topping ON my ice cream (and this is how most places make them). In any event, though I wasn't necessarily over the moonwith the value for the sundae, the ice cream itself was delicious. I visited twice on my last trip to Lake Placid (I got threescoops, no sundae, on the second trip) and was very happy with my decision to stop by. :) Read more
First timer to lake placid and was walking with family and kids .. of course who would say a no to ice creams . Went and bought... a lot of ice creams to kids and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Amazing flavors . Parking was a bit of an issue but we got a fewblocks away. Gets crowded on weekends and long holidays. Nice customer service ! Kudos !! Read more
It's Ben and Jerry's, it's made in Vermont, it's a good product, and it can be found in my local grocery store. I've never... quite figured out the appeal or extra cost involved in going to a satellite shop; it's never delivered on an experience tojustify waiting on a line or paying extra. Sort of like the fast food of ice cream shops. Read more
