This hotel is very nice, clean, friendly staff. Lake Placid is a very beautiful area. Me & my husband came here for his birthday... last year and decided to spend our anniversary here as well. Only thing bad to say is when we stayed it was on points and theywere only supposed to hold $40 for incidentals however they held $40 the first day then charged me another $50 hold the nextday, which put a damper on our plans for the day. Other than that absolutely loved the stay and will definitely stay here again. Read more

Live close to LP so a day trip mini vacation was in order...Great hotel. Clean, great front desk staff. We rented a hot tub room... and the price was reasonable even for a Friday. Close to everything...the 1980 Herb Brooks Arena and everything the wonderfulvillage of Lake Placid has to offer. Here's a travel tidbit....the heater in the room was silent! No noise at all! We wanted toeat dinner downstairs but the chef called in sick. Thought we would have to go into town, but the bartender Phillip said hecould make us something from his limited chef skill set. Some Chicken Tenders, fries and wings were enough. It was great. Wewill go back soon. Great pool and 2 Jacuzzis on site too. Read more

I booked three rooms and called a day before to ensure that they are on same floor. When I reached, the rooms were not on same... floor which was very disappointing. Instead of 3rd floor, I was given first floor. The room had a very awful smell. I had tospray cologne to breathe. I won't be staying in this hotel in future. The ambience is ok but for 300 plus, I would expect someluxury ir atleast the room to be fresh. There is a small bar and fire pit. The hotel is about 3 Miles away from mirror lake anddowntown which has more lively environment and nice hotel locations Read more

Pros: staff were very pleasant and helpful. Location is close to everything but you will need to use your car. Cons: we had 2... rooms connected and the AC unit in one was broken. No one from the hotel contacted us to let us know ahead of time so we couldswitch our room situation. The portable unit they plugged in for the one room worked but the window wouldn?t shut all the way soit wasn?t a great situation. Also, the person who checked us in said the hotel was almost full and switching rooms would bedifficult but the parking lot was only 1/3 full. The indoor pool was cloudy and definitely needs a cleaning. The rooms werevery spacious but need some updating and repairs. One hot tub was not working Read more

Positive: As someone who has travelled to 48 States and lived in hotels for the last 20 years of my work life, I can state... unequivocally there was nothing good about this property. It is not in town, not near town, has the most rude staff and noammenities. Negative: Pool does not open until 9am meaning you can't use it before heading out but it is small and indoors, staff are rude, some don't speak English but talk over you, when you complain you are invalidated, no water/coffee/fruit, tinytelevision, bad location Read more

I have stayed a Marriott hotels many times and this was my first disappointing stay. My husband and I got a room with the hot... tub. We choose not to stay Saturday night because it was $425. We decided to do a Sunday because it was only $119, with mygovernment discount. And I must sadly say there is no way this room was worth $425! We had a view of the 2nd floor roof withair-conditioning units and plaster falling off the building. Our ceiling was coming apart probably from the tub above usleaking. Room was large and decently clean. But from someone who travels alot...if you're asking that kind of money for a roomthe upkeep better show. With the International winter games coming in January they'd better start fixing up the place, becausewhat a disgrace to the Marriott brand. Read more
