I'm not really one to ever leave reviews...but I was so disappointed in my food tonight. Ordered the peach and tomato heirloom... salad which was described as diced peaches, heirloom tomatoes, mozzarella pearls, and spinach tossed in a balsamic vinaigrettedressing and topped with crispy bacon. The salad was so overdressed it was sitting in a pool of dressing, I had a total of threemozzarella pearls in my entire salad, the peaches looked like they had come from a packaged fruit cup, tomatoes were cherrytomatoes cut in half and not heirloom tomatoes as advertised, and the worst part of it all was the bacon on my salad was raw.Raw. Please refer to the pictures if you don't believe me. I have never in my life been served raw bacon but the bacon fat wasstill white and cold and had clearly never been cooked. Furthest thing you could get from crispy bacon. I couldn't even eat it.Waiter didn't seem to care as we were still charged for it. Read more
Beer is good, location is great. On this trip the service was blah and unfriendly. Had a house made hard raspberry seltzer in... the bar area mid afternoon. Went back for day 2. This time the service was better but the food was not. Pretzels with beercheese were ordered and it was pretty gross and fresh out of a box and cheese from a can. See for yourself in the photo. I feellike this is more of a beer place and less of a food spot. I?m sure I?ll give it a chance number 3, but if you have time to eatonly at one spot, don?t choose here. Read more
I will start with the positives the staff were friendly and the food and drink came quickly. Not only that the food and drink... were very tasty and the food portions were a good size. However it was a hot evening and the AC did not seem to be working welland the doors were open and there were quite a few flies inside. Read more
Stopped here after going to the High Falls Gorge for lunch. It was amazing! The beers are all made in-house. The Hefeweizen was... my favorite. I ordered the Korean Pulled pork sandwich. It was really good. Paired well with some of the beers from the flight Iordered. What really made this place 5 stars was the experience we had. We were able to be seated inside right away. I highlyrecommend you ask for Brodie as your waiter. His Customer service was second to none. Always checked up on us and made sure wewere always good. It?s a pretty popular spot for food so you might have to wait a bit but it is totally worth it. I?ll be backhere for sure when I?m back in Lake Placid. A good place to grab a drink or two. I wanted the beereo to have more oreo flavor to it, but it was still a good nitro stout.... The Maibock was good too. I had the mushroom bolognese, and the sauce was good and tasted as advertised, but the pasta was alittle too soft. My Dad had the burger and said it was really good. For an appetizer we had the Welsh rarebit, and it was a nicestarter to go with the beer. Read more
First timer, brought the family. FAST seating on a holiday weekend. Friendly staff and clean environment. Even though it is a... pub/bar it was friendly to little kids. Calamari appetizer was exceptional. They used a Thai dipping sauce instead of thetraditional marinara and it was tasty as Hell. Because, you know, the heat of it. The Schulzy burger was really good. The frieswere also good. The grilled cheese was excellent. The pita cheese pizza had a nice flavor to it and a crispy crunch. This is asolid four star eatery. Our family had been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to try Lake Placid Pub &Brewery. Labor day weekend we stopped for lunch and... some drinks. Our server, Fran, was outstanding. The beers were top notch and we ordered crowlers to take to our campsite. Ourlunches were delicious and hit the spot. See pictures. Stopped in while waiting to meet up with family. Ordered appetizers and a kids meal along with some beers. The beers were tried... were all pretty good but our favorite was Unicorns & Show Ponies so much so that we stopped back in for some crowlers anothernight while staying in the area. The beer cheese and pretzels were excellent, wings just ok. Our children shared the pigs in ablanket which was also very good. Definitely worth a stop, especially to enjoy a few beers! Read more
