This was our first visit and it was a Sunday. The wait to be seated was reasonable and well managed. Our server was quirky and... kind. Bonus they give you complimentary cornbread on Sundays. Food was hot, fresh and most importantly delicious. Willdefinitely be visiting them again. Read more

A "GO TO" for breakfast or lunch/brunch, offering clean, fresh selections, with many HEALTHY options. Excellent (the BEST) 3-egg... omelettes! Nice sandwiches too. Photo is the "blah-blah-blah" (that's what it's actually called on the menu)choose-your-ingredients omelette. Pictured is the spinach and mozzarella cheese omelette - DELISH! OJ fresh-squeezed whenordered. Menu is extensive and varied; reasonable prices considering their use of high quality ingredients (e.g., real maplesyrup - no Mrs. Butterworth's here!). OUTSTANDING friendly, efficient & attentive service. Attractive, relaxed atmosphere, CLEANpremises, & VERY family/child friendly. Plenty of parking and easy access. Located in same corner shopping center as Food Lion, intersection of Charlotte Hwy 49 & Hwy 557. Read more

Decided to meet up with some friends today for a holiday breakfast. Had not yet been to this location of Famous Toastery and... felt that it would be a good time to give it a try! I arrived to the restaurant before everyone else and could tell that it wasa busy morning. I went inside to put my place in line at the hostess stand and noticed that around 6 tables or so in a cornernear the door were empty and labeled as a waiting area. The dining room appeared well staffed, but regardless something to notesince a decent share of the seating space inside is not being used at all. The menus that are given are very difficult to readand confusing at times as to what is included with the menu items. I decided to order a bagel sandwich with egg over medium, andnoticed that for the section I was ordering from, there was a choice of potatoes, grits, or fruit as a side. I chose thepotatoes. Upon receiving my sandwich and potatoes I was a little disappointed to see that my egg was very much over easy, erring on the side of underdone, but chose to carry on because I do not mind over easy eggs, but should still be noted as amistake. The sandwich and potatoes were otherwise tasty albeit a bit pricey with the sandwich being $6.90 plus $0.70 for abagel. When we received the bill I noticed that there was an additional $4 charge for the potatoes that I had ordered with mysandwich. When I asked our waitress about the charge she stated that she should have mentioned that the sandwiches do notactually include a side item despite being in a section of the menu that has them listed as a part of the meal. I was fine witha $8 sandwich that came with some home fries. But ended up paying $12 instead. Not the end of the world but a bit silly that themenu is apparently so difficult to decipher. Overall my experience was not as good as I had hoped. Service was not great withno refills given and poor checking of plates before they were sent to the table. The prices are a bit hard to j Read more

I walked in and waited patiently in line behind two patrons for my to go order. They were served and I was ignored. A family... that came in after me and were greeted and served while I was still in plain view of two hostesses while still being ignored. Iliterally had to shout ?CAN I PLEASE PICK UP MY FOOD? for anyone to bother addressing me. The hostess who rang my order recoiledfrom my hand as I reached for the receipt. It is not only rude but very dehumanizing to be treated this way especially beingthat this was my first visit to this location. I will never be back. The food was not even worth the wait it was bland and cold. Before the manager makes an excuse that they were busy the restaurant was half empty. If you are wondering yes I am and yes theywere. Editing my review to address the poor response from ?Jason? the restaurant manager. ?I?m sorry you felt that way? and?I?m sorry IF we made a mistake? is a terrible way to start an apology and shift blame. When I called the restaurant to try andresolve the issue civilly I also received apathy and empty platitudes without addressing the core issue. I did not scream at thehostess but I did raise my voice ONE TIME to get their attention since they were both acting like I was invisible and nevergreeted me while I standing only a few feet away. I was not ?screaming? or acting belligerent like you are incorrectly assuming. When is it ever acceptable to ignore customers and serve other people that were in line AFTER me? I saw three to go orders whenI walked in not six, one of which was my order. If I arrived before my scheduled pick up time (I didn?t) my food should not havebeen cold. How would the hostess know what order was mine when she never asked for my name before she walked away? If your staffis so busy Jason, maybe you should be up front helping with orders instead of writing passive aggressive responses to yourgoogle reviews. Read more
