I'm a vegetarian so my choices were limited but I enjoyed the 2 appetizers I ordered (it's sometimes the only area on the menu... where you'll find vegetarian options). The terrace is small but it has a nice atmosphere, the background music is relaxing, loudenough without being overpowering. I recommend this little Bistro if you're on a first date ( or any other time really) andwant to eat a more sophisticated meal than the average restaurant ????????. Read more

I was not prepared for how good this was. Each of the vegetable sides were immaculate, the steak was perfectly cooked, and the... dessert, a lemon tart, was perfect. The portions were spot-on. We left contented but not filled to the brim. I have not found abetter restaurant in the Peterborough area. Some criticism is always needed, though, and we felt the free bread was a bitunderwhelming. Even if they had just been heated, the magic would have been wall-to-wall. Will come back for as long as theyare open. Read more
I brought my mom here for lunch today. ABSOLUTELY THRILLED! Our soups were hand made and devine! Our salads were very fresh and... had a delightful citrus dressing which was perfect in the summer heat. Prices were very reasonable. We will DEFINATELY be back,and will bring family! Both of us have fallen in love with Cassis Bistro!! Thank you for such a refreshing and delightful placeto eat!! FIVE STARS!! Adding to the above eeview, four weeks later. We came back for lunch , and again were delighted! Ourquiches were freshly made just for us, and the citrus/ginger dressing is so so good! I am such a fan of Cassis Bistro. We have been going there for many years for our 'special occasion' dinners. When we were there... last Friday evening for a Valentine's Day dinner I noticed again how careful they are to maintain proper spacing of tables, andto use Plexiglas barriers between tables. What a great lunch! In Covid, we have taken to driving out of town from Toronto, simply to find a wonderful spot to lunch! We... found Cassis today, and we were with our dog. Their back patio is enclosed, so no dog, but they brought a table out front forus! AMAZING food and great wine choices. It's worth the drive! Read more
