What a wonderful little treasure up in the mountains! There is so much to say about this hotel, from the warmth of the decor to... the friendliness of the staff to the food, it was all great! The rooms are small but really all you need to lay your head atnight after a day of adventuring around the area, and the breakfast offered every morning was always delectable and energizing. You can really tell the freshness of the ingredients used, the grits were to die for and I wish I had asked for therecipe! Dinner was another amazing experience, our waitress Kaylee (I think) was top tier. We could easily tell she was highlevel from how she handled herself and the dinner service. The pumpkin seed covered brie was a highlight. Overall, it was agreat stay at in a beautiful part of Georgia and we can't wait to stop by again! Read more

Lovely hotel with a delicious breakfast included each morning! Staff members were all friendly and helpful. Location is... convenient to all that the area offers. It is an easy drive to shopping in Clayton, waterfall hikes in the area, horsebackriding, and more. The rooms are rustic and quaint with en suite bathrooms. It’s set up like a lodge or European B&B withsmaller bedrooms but larger common spaces for a community feel. Bring a book and sit by the fireplace or out on the porch, depending on the weather. Definitely plan to eat dinner at the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was stellar. Read more

Our group of fifteen had an excellent three-day stay at Lake Rabun Hotel. Every member of the staff was attentive and helpful.... The common areas were perfect for our gathering. The rooms were refreshingly unique and comfortable. The restaurant's staff andmenu were far above almost any dining experience these days. All of this in a hundred-year-old boutique hotel tucked into theNorth Georgia mountains. Read more

Only came here for the restaurant but it was absolutely fantastic. Took the wife out for her birthday she got the airline... chicken and I got the lamb chops. Everything was cooked to perfection and the portions were very generous. The atmosphere wasvery rustic and reminded me of back home in rural NH. I would for sure come back again and recommend it to anyone looking for arelaxing romantic getaway Read more

I discovered this little gem last year and loved it so much that I came back this year and will continue to come back when... visiting the area for years to come. If you want a quiet weekend in the woods in a charming historical lake house this is agreat place to choose. Quaint little bar and restaurant with delicious food and drinks. Rooms are reasonably priced even inOctober and rate includes breakfast. The staff are friendly and welcoming and make every effort to ensure your stay iscomfortable. If you love quiet evenings in the mountains, listening to the crickets and being in nature and you don’t mindbeing without TV or a more bed and breakfast vibe than modern hotel then you will love this place. The restaurant was amazing, the room itself was very rustic and cute. The only thing I would fix would be the lighting is... extremely dim and a mini fridge would be nice but other than that a great room. We booked the zip lining through the hotel andit was so much fun, we will come back here eventually! Read more

This was a really nice stay! The service was excellent. The staff at the front and in the restaurant were really friendly and... helpful. Added touches like the welcome cookie in our room were what made it extra special. The location was great too. It'sa short drive from a lot of trails, and the hotel is secluded into the forest by a bit, so the area is cool and quiet. Onlydownside are the rooms, which were pretty bad. The Moonshine room was really small, as was the bathroom, and you could hearpeople all around you snoring and moving all night. Earplugs are required. On top of this, the bed was very uncomfortable andnoisey to move around in. We were constantly concerned we would wake people up or break the bed itself from just moving aroundin our sleep. Overall, this was a nice place but I wish the rooms were updated a bit. Perhaps the room we chose was extra bad. Read more

Highly recommend! We stayed for a long weekend in the beginning of April. It was still a bit chilly but perfect for spending... time by the fire and enjoying drinks at the bar. The restaurant is superb and the staff is very kind and attentive. We alsoenjoyed a half day boat rental with Bear Gap Outfitters just a short drive away. The lake is beautiful and quiet. Read more
