It's a Cafe/diner so come with those expectations. The food was good, I had the Johny Cash (?) burger which was so good. The... onion rings were also very tasty. My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito and he said it was very good as well. For diner food,it was very good and the service was good too. This spot is superb food made by a top notch cook, and served by a sweet and attentive waitress. If you're camping nearby, you... can call ahead to pick up making your time away from camp very short. Inside is cute and very clean. The walls have lovely artand quotes with beachy decor intermingled. Support this establishment on your hwy 101 journey! Lakeside Café is a quaint neighbourhood restaurant. I had their BLT, but was disappointed that it was rather cold and skimpy. I... don't expect a large portion, but I would certainly like to taste the bacon and not have to send out "Search & Rescue" to findthe lone tomato slice. ???? Also, The waitress was obviously working very hard to serve everyone, but was having troublekeeping up and returned much later to check on my meal or refill my coffee. The waitress was extremely nice and apologetic about the hour and a half wait for food. We were very understanding as they only... had one cook. We did wish they told us when ordering that it was going to take that long instead of apologizing when handing usto-go boxes. The food itself just wasn't that good. If it was for food alone I'd probably give it just two stars but thewaitress had a good attitude so I added another star. Read more
