I would not recommend Green Mill. They catered my wedding on August 5th. For food, the meal was mediocre. The beef kabob that we... had tasted nothing like what we had at the tasting. It was so dry and under seasoned. Sure, I can forgive the dryness as acomplication related to the keeping the food warm, but not an excuse for improperly seasoning. For service, the catering managerand the crew were pleasant people to work with and is the only reason I?m not giving them a one star. However, they absolutelyunder-delivered. We paid for a buffet and half of the guests were not made aware that they could return for seconds even thoughcatering crew were the ones who approached me and asked if they could release people for seconds. The manager told me that theygenerally do not let people know they can return for seconds and this is an above and beyond service, but I guess it doesn?tmatter because the majority of guest attest that they were not informed. Also, after the wedding, my sister who was there tohelp me with setup, told me the catering crew were crouching down pouring water into the goblets in crates on the floor. Manageroriginally claim that if crates were placed on the floor, the goblets aren?t literally touch the floor. After I informed her ofthe health code, she claims the goblets are put in a rack that is compliant with health code. I didn?t observe the setup, but mysister who also runs a sushi shop found their actions concerning. The crew left earlier than discussed and manager claims thatthe time on our contract was ?flexible? which was not disclosure to me before signing the contract. This place is very nice, great service even during a rush. Only had one problem when our server was covering for additional... tables due to short staffing. And we weren't getting refills but I never saw their manger(s) out helping so I never held itagainst her. Overall great. Read more
8.2/10 The pizza hit the spot. Crust is actually edible. The sauce is a healthy marinara w/pulpa in the sauce. There is a... wonderfully strong pepper and oregano flavor. The bottom of the crust was oiled properly giving it a buttery taste and it wasn'tover cooked so the crust would become cardboard. Nicely prepared... Cheese was sufficient and it gave that nice 'foot longstringy cheese' appearance upon lifting the pizza from the box. Sausage was good. I would prefer to have more fennel in thesausage so the sausage taste stands out more,...but still good. Garlic was a bit strong...could have grilled it and given itanother layer to the already wonderful pie, but still good. I have eaten at Green Mill for years. The service and product was always great. However this week for the first time I ordered... from the Lakeville location. The service was horrible and the pizza was burnt. I wanted to talk to the manager. She was to callme. Three days later I called again to express my concerns. Jennifer informed me other things were going on and returning mycall wasn't a priority. I will never eat there again. The bad service was off the chart I did not appreciate an employeestanding at the counter arguing with me about a burnt pizza. No wonder the place was empty. Good food and good service. However, Green Mill has made a ?corporate? decision scale back portions while raising prices. We... were weekly customers and were stunned last evening when my burger and fries plate came with literally 10 fries. Seriously? Atfirst, we thought this was a joke or some fell off the plate on the way to the table. I asked the sever about the scale of mymeal and she stated that they are now portioning their sides. The manager also stated that corporate told them they must nowportion menu items. Less food for more money. That?s a new business model that I?m sure will work. I wonder how corporatewill calculate the loss of our weekly business ($80-120ea.) into their new model. Sad to go, but we won?t be back. This is nothow you treat loyal, local customers. I mean it's Green Mill not fancy high end dining. But good for pizza and pasta. Spouse had walleye sandwich and liked it and was... a real filet. The Asian salad I had was weird as there were hot items over cold lettuce and sauce was too sweet. Otherwise wasokay. Read more
Ordered takeout to help support local restaurants. I understand that there can be some variations to quality, but all three... orders were burnt/overcooked. The buns and burgers were charred and fries also burnt. It was very disappointing to spend $40 onfood when hardly any of it was edible. Read more
