One star review for their Aisles Shoppers, 3 star review for the store itself. 9 times out of 10 the times they say they are out... of something for order pick up I go in and can easily find it. I?m not sure if it?s a laziness thing or what but one missingingredient can really mess up a whole meal or recipe and of course it?s never actually out of stock (unless on super sale then Iknow it?s probably factual). Also, even if you put preferred substitutes they text asking if you still want the substitute andif you don?t text back within one minute, they won?t get anything at all. So maddening and bizarre. But in store shopping isnice?fair prices, clean store, all good things. I would complain about how there are NEVER enough cashiers but it?s just kind ofa given, I?ve come to expect that and no longer get upset. Just sip my Starbucks and enjoy the people watching.. We love their selection of meats for grilling, smoking and other family dinner faves. Their choice reserve cuts of beef are... always very tender and delicious. I always make a separate stop at Hy-Vee when we need meat for the grill. Their producesection is consistently unsatisfactory. We specifically stay away from purchasing any fruit or vegetables from Hy-Vee. First, itis always more expensive than other local stores. This can be forgotten if the quality is good, but...it almost never is. Thevegetables are usually soft, mushy, or smelly. Like they are already or almost bad. The fruit we have gotten has also been mushyor went bad very quickly. Since it is apple season I thought I would be safe to purchase apples here instead of going to anorchard. The bag says "fresh from the orchard"...but again the contents of the bag ended up being very bruised and soft. Notcrunchy like I would expect in-season apples to be. We enjoy the store. The employees are great. The quick meal stations arefantastic in a pinch. We hope that they can figure out the produce section sometime. Read more

Was here in the evening with my wife, and they had 1 cashier plus just 2 self-check lanes open. The one cashier had a line of... people waiting to check out, plus there was a line for self-check. The peaches we had did not ring up as the sale price in theself-check, and we waited for several minutes with no assistance. Meanwhile, we were taking up 1 of the 2 self-check lanes withpeople were waiting. We eventually abandoned our goods and walked out without purchasing anything > the register we were atwas still unable to be used, further slowing down anyone else that wanted to check out. Also, this store prices their meat in astrange way, as in per 5oz chop or whatever, and I'm pretty sure they do it to confuse the pricing per pound so customers areless able to price compare vs. other stores. Love the store but organization of aisles is a bit different. Why is there a separate section for olive oil instead of having it... in the cooking oil section? Also this store is typically out of the dry grocery sale items. I frequently go in with my couponand the item is never available. Read more

I am so upset right now I could spit. I bought this bag of top shelf dog food from this store. My dog did not want to eat it.... Well eventually she begrudgingly ate some just to start puking and getting diarrhea. I looked at the bag and to my utter terror,it has been expired for well over a year. Also, most of their produce has mold growing on it. If you want to accidentally killyourself or your animal, go ahead and shop here. I cant believe the lack of management here. Read more

Absolutely beautiful store, however it's equal to or more expensive to whole foods for not whole foods quality clean food or... brands. Literally every item in this store can be purchased across the street at target for $1-$2 less PER EVERY SINGLE item. Ialso have seen on 3 separate times commercials on TV for sales that don't exist. Love the variety. Love the deli and bakery, as well as the "ready to go" selections. They also have a brand of ice cream that I... can't find anywhere else that I LOVE -- might be a private brand or something. But 4 stars, almost 3, because their prices AREalways higher AND this store really struggles to have staff available to help at the self checkout lanes in the evening.NUMEROUS times I've been and the register gets me stuck in some "need attendant" workflow and none is around. More than once Ihave waited close to 10 min and actually gone walking through the store to find someone. Read more
