The food is almost always great and we love eating here. For reasons I can't explain, the last 3 of the 4 take-out orders... containing just 6 tacos, have taken between 25-35 minutes to get. What hurts the most are 2 of these instances families thatwere behind the line from me received their orders between 15-20 min earlier than me, so this wasn't a "busy" scenario. In factall 3 times it was at more quiet times that this has occurred. The first time this happened, after waiting for 20 min and thegroup behind me were almost done with their food, I asked the guy who took my order where my food is; he went to the back, cameback, and said we're just really busy. I told him the group behind me is almost done; he simply said again, we're just busy.This was a gut punch. Next time we get food, I will provide details of time ordered and food received with photos. Try the hillbilly queso, you don't regret it. So many taco options, and it's fun sampling them all until you find your... favorites. Of course, the taco of the month is always an interesting way to shake it up. Tip - the poblano ranch sauce is myfavorite sauce. You could put it on anything, and it would be delicious! Read more
Best fancy tacos in South Austin. Also perhaps the best churros in town - see if your location has them on the menu yet and... treat yourself. There are other places to get more authentic street tacos or Mexican tacos, but Torchy's rules the gourmet taconiche and has a great modern vibe. Some locations have a good bar and outdoor seating also. Once the weather cools down in fallor spring, be sure to try the essential Austin dining experience of an evening dinner outside right around sunset. I love me some Torchys was impressed yesterday with portion size of the Tacos. Food was on point. Restaurant was clean. Only... thing is I wish they would re-stock Topo Chico not Minerajua. That was my only grips a decent alternative but alot higher insalt than a Topo Chico. Overall a wonderful experience yesterday. Keep up the good work guys! Read more
This was my first time to Torchy's while visiting family. Uh wow, so delicious. I got a few different tacos and they were all... great, but the Mr. Orange was my favorite. Salmon fish tacos!! So, so good. Swing by for sure, you won't be disappointed. Read more
Best local tacos. They have unique flavors, and the meat is excellent in taste. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant, it has a... bar, and outside seating. The food was delicious, apart from the Salmon taco. Their chickens and Baja shrimp are my favorite goto tacos. Definitely coming back for more. The food is great, when you actually get it. We order frequently (so I guess it?s my fault I keep ordering) and without... fail?there are always items missing. ALWAYS. It?s almost a joke at our house now, almost. After waiting 2 hours for delivery?mymeal isn?t in the bag, again. A simple check before sending it out for delivery would do wonders for your business. It?s notdifficult. Their only response is ?we?ll refund the item.? Really? That?s the best you can do?Not great. *They even put the?How?d we do?? sticker on top of the missing items.* Read more
