Excellent sandwich and staff. I pop in about once a week for lunch, and have finally settled on a favorite. The Hey Dave with... extra meat and horseradish. Sandwich is always made timely and with love! Always delicious! Today I asked the tall skinny kid inback to recommend a sandwich for my daughter and he suggested the Turkey Dave and it did NOT disappoint! The whole staff isgreat to deal with, and they definitely do a better job than that place a couple of blocks away where they're nice but alwaysseem to forget my horseradish sauce. Spicy Dave has plenty of heat. Fresh ingredients drenched in cosmic sauce puts this sub above the competition.
Ordered a veggie sub with no mushroom, got home and literally had a sub with just mushrooms and lettuce on it and nothing else??
I just wish they served decent pickles with the subs.
Daves is always good. They were quite busy today but still kicking out subs fast.
My sandwich was very small, probably half the size of those pictured. My girlfriend wanted hers with no cheese and that didn?t... happen. The pickle didn?t seem to be pickled. The biggest issue was with the older bald man in the kitchen yelling at theyounger female employee while we were waiting. It was extremely awkward. Bad all around experience. I've only ever had good experiences when coming to Dave's Cosmic Sub's. This location (Lakewood) doesn't sell French Fries but... I'm not complaining. I came for a sandwich and that's what I got! On too of that they have a few tasty Vegetarian options tochoose from. This puts them ahead of Subway and other sub-sandwhich competition. I always say that Dave's is better than mostother places because they choose to season their food. All the sandwiches I've ever had have been seasoned and have a uniqueDavey flavor! Great place to come. They do large orders too, so if you are on a small film set and need to fill a decent sizedorder with tasty subs (Wayy better than Jimmy John's) then please come here. Literally the WORST place to get Dave's Cosmic Subs. I grew up eating from the original shop and I keep trying to give this... location a chance just because of how much I love Dave's. this location gets worse with each attempt. Call me crazy for tryingthem probably 25 times in the last 5 years. Everything from hair in the subs (multiple times) to completely dry "Sloppy Dave's".WHERE IS THE DAVE'S SUB SAUCE?!?!
