UPDATE: No more tableside bbq grill but they have the hot plate used in Korea where the oil just drains out of a hole into a... bowl. It?s JUST as authentic a feel! I had ordered takeout from here several SEVERAL times after trying really hard to find agood Seolleongtang (???) soup. Somehow I stumbled across this brand new restaurant (to me) and ordered a few things to try.Basically I order from this place at least once a month now. Tonight I made up my mind to go and sit in and try the actualgopchang and daechang and the other delicious goodies I only saw on TV. OMG I was not disappointed. The atmosphere alone, theinside of the restaurant transports you right to Korea in a small village or street where you have shops that you can pick fromto eat street food like these grilled intestines. Do not be afraid to try new things! I was at first very nervous because I amnot Korean and my husband isn?t either so I was scared of being judged. Never fear because the owners there are so kind andwelcoming as ever so please do not be afraid! So the first thing we did was order large intestine because I have never had itbefore. ZERO regrets! It tastes like the crispy fatty part of bacon and oh so smokey and wonderfully cleaned. No weirdness atall because they really care about their food preparation. I cannot tell you how much I enjoy eating here. For beginners I woulddefinitely suggest that large intestine because the small intestine has a more bitter taste. For people who don?t want to eatthis at all, there are mushrooms and really good beef brisket you can grill! The dishes are served with picked radish and aplate of green chives that you will eat with the grilled food. It comes with dipping sauces as well and some really good hotspicy soup to warm you up for your meal. You can order some deliciously unique purple rice separately or some ramyunnoodles. Everything is appropriately distanced and you are seated privately and separately from other patrons. I love i Read more

Came here by myself after a long gym session & was looking for something to satisfy my cravings.. Everything about this place is... fantastic! Perfect late night spot for Korean dinner/drinks~ The vibe is really fresh & easy going too. Music is just right &they play all the K-pop bops if you?re into it ???? a lot of younger middle aged patrons to give you a good picture. Thewaitress was super friendly and helpful about answering any questions about the menu. If you aren?t familiar with anything justask! The food. The FOOOD. Spectacular. I came in and ordered the mixed buckwheat noodle and it HIT THE SPOT. Been craving itall summer and it was perfect. Then I ordered the chefs special small intestine stir fry with a side of rice & Cass beer. BESTDECISION ever. If you like intestines, this is a must. The chili paste sautéed into it is cooked perfectly. I?d eat it all if Ididn?t have the stomach of a single human lol. Pair it all with a beer to end the meal and?DAMNN. FRENCH KISS. Or in this case,a Korean kiss lol. (Bad joke I know). But to summarize, this place is great if you need a chill spot to enjoy late night Koreanfood. Nice people, great food. Coming again with the squad FOR SURE. Read more

Rude customer service. NO BBQ. How does a BBQ restaurant have no BBQ. Only maybe about 15 people there and we were forgotten for... about 10mins. When ask the server "do you want me to leave", pretty much she says "YES". How do you tell a customer just toleave. Really don't want to do business at all. Mainly just friends of the owners goes there. Employees/workers just chattingwith their friends and forget the customers. BEWARE. Read more

Authentic Korean food and experience! Not your typical Korean restaurant. They specialize in gopchang which is best served with... soju or beer (it?s good even if you don?t drink!). We went on a Sunday afternoon, around 4-5pm and got seated immediately. Weordered Combo A which is a variety of intestines. It?s good for 2-3 persons but if this is something you enjoy, you?d probablyneed more. It comes with a cup of purple/black rice, 3 sides, and soup. We also ordered their kimchi fried rice. Everything wasreally good. And had to mention the interior - it?s well thought of to give you that really authentic vibe. And the staff aresuper attentive. They cook the meat and cut it for you. They tell you when it?s done and ready to eat. They didn?t have to butthis is good for first timers who may not be familiar with cooking this dish. Read more

This restaurant is for special Korean foods for drinks, not meals. Not cocktail bar, not pub. They sell special Korean foods for... So-Ju(traditional Korean drinks). This special foods are beef intestines. ???? I understand that many people doesn't like these. But if you interest to have or want to try, I definitely recommend to go to Makchangdrama. And these foods go well with So-Ju,just let you know. And every weekends, this restaurant is so busy. You may wait 40-50 mins on rush hour. However if you go theremore than 4 people, they can take a reservation. Once again, this restaurant is kinda So-Ju pub, not like regular Koreanrestaurant. Read more

Very authentic korean bbq place specialized in intestine ?gopchang?, and few other intestinal parts. Around Puget Sound area,... this is really one of the best places with this specialty meats, high quality. The interior of the place is constructed toreally give you that vibe of being at a korean bar-style restaurants, decors and stalls that give you intimate diningexperience. Service is on point, staff is attentive and friendly, they are veterans and very knowledgeable in how to best enjoythe food. Ever since its opening, it?s been popular and it can be hard to find seating during weekends sometimes - be sure tocall in and check for wait times. Reservations are accepted for 4 or more party sizes. If you love korean bbq and want toexpand further out in your experience, highly recommend this place. Read more

So glad to finally have a Gopchang restaurant in the area!! Nice portion and quality. Great for drinking and having fun with... people. Cozy atmosphere as well. Average spending would be about 40-50 bucks per person if lightly drinking. Read more
