I sat in the bar on a Thursday night, just me. I ordered a smoky old fashioned and it was amazing. Smoky at the start and the... orange peel zest at the end really finished off the sweetest. Well done. In terms of food I got the KC Strip Surf and Turf. Inever get to eat out but the staff was attentive and I enjoyed my experience immensely. Having someone cook for you is always abonus but it\'s even better when they do it well. Keep up the good work Chophouse! Read more
I was hoping for a better experience. Being in the middle of the country I would expect my steak to be perfect. Not this... time. I ordered the Surf and Turf (8oz ribeye & shrimp) with a wedge side salad. After about 35-40 min my salad came and itwas actually delicious, but I asked for an extra side of ranch and out comes pre packaged ranch… as if I’m at a fast foodplace. Steakhouses should ALWAYS make their own ranch. After about 3 minutes of enjoying the salad, my steak and shrimpcome. Ok… I’ll just eat all of it together. Right away I notice the shrimp where cold, and lacked flavor. Then thesteak… I cut into it and had a few bites. It was medium well NOT medium rare as I ordered. And it was not a ribeye. Zeromarble and very tough. At this point I’m hungry and not willing to wait for a recook. I tell the waitress and she says ohokay I’ll tell the cooks. That’s it! No manager, no “we’ll take care of desert… “ nothing. Oh and she forgotmy roll damit! They can do better! $75 dinner. I expect more. Read more
The food was great but the service sucked. We ordered a shrimp cocktail appetizer and never got it. They were out of the alcohol... that we wanted for drinks. Once the food was sat down we were never spoke to again. No one came to our table to ask how the foodwas, no one came to refill our drinks or even asked if we wanted anything else. We were never even brought a bill, we had to goto bar and ask to pay when we were tired of being ignored. You spend that kind of money and expect much better service thanthat, not sure we’ll be back. Colorado\'s hidden gem! Delicious, reasonably priced and the staff is super nice! $23 filet mignon, he\'ll yeah I\'ll be back!
The food has been wonderful all three times I\'ve eaten here. Great tasting drinks and they will try to make anything you want!... Wait staff is very kind and attentive, definitely deserves 5 stars. Also has the greatest outdoor seating! Read more
This place redefines steak. Local meat and grill to perfection. Everything about this restaurant is impressive. Not 1 thing was... lacking, everything was perfect, service, cocktails, wine list, sides, environment, ambiance. Best steak ever. You have to tryto have a bad time here. Read more
Filet Mignon was prepared to perfection!! The beef is bought local. Absolutely best steak we have had!! The loaded baked... potato was divine!! The bacon ????…yum!!!!! Homemade rolls very good!! Manager surprised us with cheesecake on the housefor our Anniversary. What a sweet spot in Lamar, CO!! (Should have taken my photos before we cut into steaks but forgot!) Read more
Food and service are all getting better each time I go. It is a little bit pricey comma but for the most part well worth the... money considering it would take several hours to go anywhere else for the same quality of food. Read more
