Today I witnessed one of the worst customer service situation I?ve been in. A 75-year-old lady asked for a reese?s pieces... flurry. When it came out it was a flurry with pieces of Reese?s peanut butter cup in it. The lady came back and explained thatshe doesn?t eat chocolate and Reese?s pieces doesn?t have chocolate. The young lady behind the counter didn?t understand rightaway what Reese?s pieces were. I helped explain it. The lady asked if she could have something different and the young lady atthe register said yes but you?d have to pay for it. The 75-year-old woman walked away and said she couldn?t eat it and didn?tthink she should pay for two items. I then pursued the conversation and said that she certainly didn?t mean pay for the wholething but the difference in price. I was wrong the young lady behind the counter said she needs to pay for both items because itwas not her mistake it was the 75-year-old woman?s mistake and that?s the policy of the owner. I asked for the owners phonenumber and the young woman said I?m the daughter of the owner and would not give me her father?s phone number. I will not befrequenting this place until I get a reply that helps me understand this policy. Many people witnessed the encounter and wereequally concerned. Read more
Go to purple penguin instead!! This place has Rude employees. They had a line outfront at one window with at least 3 to 4... employees. Never opened the second window but instead one employee signals to the person last inline to come inside. So wefollowed since there taking orders inside too. Gives them their ice cream "oh because there "regulars"... girl employee walksaway then about 5 minutes later comes back with an excuse saying there only taking orders at outside window. Um what?? We leftand will never be back. I don't ever do reviews but I work in customer service and you don't ever tell one customer to come inand if another customer follows into that line you ring them out. You started a 2nd "line" you can't be a certain way with onecustomer then treat another in a rude way just because you don't want to. Ive never seen such poor customer service as I do whenI go to this place. From last season to this spring the service hasn't changed. The employees give a bigger attitude when theentire softball team goes after a game too. If you can't even put on a fake smile and lose the teenage attitude when it's apartof your job then I suggest getting a different job. Read more
The ladies at the window were helpful and explained to me all that was in my turtle sundae. I ordered the coney islands and I... did not care for them. But, the turtle ice cream sundae was great. I even bought my husband something (ice cream) and took ithome to him. He really liked it. Thank you for great service!! Read more
Just found this little gem in Lambertville. We had chili dogs n fries (like fair fries!!) Very good. We WILL be back. Can't... wait to try the icecream. Read more
From recent reviews it sounds like maybe the owner's daughter needs some customer service training. I was a customer from out... of town, there in the middle of a weekday. I had no problems with service, but I have some suggestions for making the restaurantmore welcoming to first-timers. With no one else there, I wondered if it was open. There is a small neon "Open" sign, but it wasnot turned on. I had found it on google maps looking for restaurants, but from the road it looked like it was not open. I drovein anyway. Parking is in the back, and it wasn't clear where the entrance is. There is a switchback ramp to a side door, but itdidn't look to me like that was a way to go in, so I continued walking to the front. That is where there are walk up windows,but again if I hadn't seen someone inside I would have thought it was closed. Service was unremarkable. Not rude; notparticularly friendly. I would recommend better signage and employing staff who enjoy working there and and interacting withcustomers. (When they become available; I understand that's difficult right now). Read more
