We visited Lambertville, NJ and we drove by El Tule Mexican and Peruvian restaurant. I told my husband I wanted to give this... place a try and I am so glad we did. Very vibrant colors, outdoor and indoor seating available, very friendly and helpful staff.Lots of delicious options on the menu little of anything Peruvian and Mexican options. We drove by this place months ago and thought it looked fun, finally had a chance to come back and eat! Everything was SO GOOD,... very generous portions, fresh ingredients, just wonderful!!! I especially loved the chifa ceviche. Definitely plan to come backeven though we live 40 min away. Read more

El Tule was delicious - it's a mixture of Mexican and Peruvian cuisine. Since it was our first time there, we ordered like... fiends so we could have a sampling of the menu. The guacamole was yummy. I also got the tostades with shredded chicken andalso the beef tacos. I would have like to have been given the option to order the tostones as an individual side dish because Icould have done without all the accouterements that went with it. Less is more, at times, I say. My beef tacos were yummy butthey came out with soft tortillas and I prefer crispy. They were still good. My husband had a Peruvian dish with steak,shrimp, and peppers; he liked it. I'm glad I got to experience something different. The dishes were kind on the pricey side. There were lots of vegetarian and gluten free options. The service was great. Outdoor seating was offered. Read more

El Tule has some of the best food in Hunterdon County. The outdoor dining area is lovely, shaded with umbrellas, and... comfortable. Everyone working here is excellent. Our server today, Jennifer, explained dishes thoroughly, made goodrecommendations, and was overall fantastic. We loved the ceviches, the nachos with beef were incredible, my daughter loved theChile rellano with beef, and shrimp and aji chicken bowls were really good too.
