Over decades of global travel, my family and I have never encountered the level of disrespect and, frankly, abuse, that we faced... when trying to eat lunch here. The way we were treated by several staff members was stunning and completely unacceptable. Thisis not a country club. This is a hotel on an island that the FS Lanai likes to pretend it is a steward for. If it wants to be asteward of the island, it should change its absurd exclusionary “let’s accost non-guests that want to eat lunch here”policy (sorry — not all of us want to stay on Lanai, but plenty of people would like to visit). I will have to admit. That was one of the most memorable dining experiences of my life. The food was amazingly delicious, and... the ambiance is surreal (dream).
