Over decades of global travel, my family and I have never encountered the level of disrespect and, frankly, abuse, that we faced... when trying to eat lunch here. The way we were treated by several staff members was stunning and completely unacceptable. Thisis not a country club. This is a hotel on an island that the FS Lanai likes to pretend it is a steward for. If it wants to be asteward of the island, it should change its absurd exclusionary “let’s accost non-guests that want to eat lunch here”policy (sorry — not all of us want to stay on Lanai, but plenty of people would like to visit). When I go out for food I expect it to be better than just OK. When I spend more than $50 per person I expect it to be better... than I can make at home. This place failed both tests. Read more
I will have to admit. That was one of the most memorable dining experiences of my life. The food was amazingly delicious, and... the ambiance is surreal (dream). I really enjoyed this pool-side casual restaurant at the Four Seasons resort for their quick service, outdoor seating with a... great view, and menu. I was able to quickly be served a light salad and refreshing drink here. The salad was light and freshwith lettuce, avocado, tomato and lime/oil sauce. This October, 2019, my wife and set out to find the best Mai Tai on Maui/Lanai. We day tripped over to Lana'i and tasted Mai... Tais at Malibu Farm Restaurant & Bar. This Mai Tai is the real deal, and our #1 Mai Tai in Maui/Lana. The two Mai Tais we hadtasted were true to Trader Vic’s classic recipe as it is to be enjoyed. Pineapple wedge, umbrella, but no cherry.
