Takes us about an hour on some back roads to get here. Really wanted the tortilla soup..so good. Also had the Laredo steak with... cactus butter..so good. Staff were friendly, and courteous. Kitchen staff were preparing food faster then it was being served.Cactus butter was cold and congealed, sent it back it was heated and returned. Overall a good experience. Read more
It's been a long time since I have eaten here. My wife and I ate here when it first opened. We didn't feel the food was very... good back then. That was many years ago. We felt yesterday that we would give it another try. We certainly should have stoppedsomewhere else. It was not a good experience. It does not look as though they have kept the basic restaurant area clean andupdated. Wood molding is very worn and appears dirty. The tables were sticky and when our order came, my chicken breasts weredry, tough and over cooked. The steamed broccoli was old and yellowing. The only thing I had that was very good was the smashedred potatoes. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich and said that it tasted like the pulled pork that you buy at the grocerystore in the tub. Every time we eat here the food is good, including today. But today our waitress was amazing and went above and beyond! One of... my family members with special needs had his heart set on a chef salad. It wasn't on the menu, but they made it happen for him.And my 6 year old daughter asked for more gummy worms and was given a little container of them with the to-go container. We stopped here for lunch and boy are we glad we did. The waitress was awesome and very friendly, she had quite a few tables to... wait on but we never felt like we had to wait long for food or drink. The food was awesome too. I would highly recommend thisestablishment to anyone. Read more
I'd never been to any Max & Erma's, and really just wanted a small meal. The tater tots were perfect (and not too salty, like... they often are!) I loved the French Onion Soup, but I'm also a fan of cheese. The service was quick and friendly too. Read more
