Great food and super nice staff! Our waitress, Laun, was very sweet and accommodating. The food is very good. It tastes fairly... authentic and the prices are good. Would definitely recommend! They have some fun special events such as trivia, happy hour, karaoke, etc. Read more

We visited Almigos in August? we have been waiting for this place to open for awhile. We were quickly disappointed by the food... and service. I provided 3 pictures of our food. As you can see the street corn shrimp was swerved on a bed of soggy lettuce. This was to be a half pound of shrimp. But it was 8-9 pieces of very small shrimp. Far from a half pound. Jumbo shrimp is 20-24pieces for a pound and this was not jumbo shrimp. The burger and fries were below par as well. The chichi mic hangs was very dryand served with a soggy salad. Almigos is far far far from being authentic Mexican food. I have visited most Mexican restaurantsin Lancaster, and this is by far the worst one. Visit the following places when looking for authentic Mexican food: CocinaMexicana downtown El Pueblito on Dillerville road Tequila Mexican grill on Roherstown road I would also go to Plaza Azteca andEl Rodeo over Almigos any day Read more

Visiting in the area from New Mexico to see family and this place was suggested as it recently opened again. So we went for a... girls night out. We ordered a few appetizers - Almigo bites - was just an odd combination and I would not classify it as"Mexican bread", street corn shrimp - was claggy and the sauce was odd, and street corn dip - tasted more of like a chowder cornsoup than dip. However, the appetizers were half off that night, so at least there is that. We ordered a margarita and a MexicanMule, which were good. The waitress and bartender were friendly and attentive. For the main entrée, I order the chimichanga,my sister got tacos, and our third guest got enchiladas. Most Mexican restaurants you order from, your sides are rice andbeans. They serve to a default over dressed salad, unless you specify otherwise. One of the gals at the table did order rice andbeans and the rice was over cooked and black beans were ok. The food isn't anything to write home about. I would not classify itas Mexican food, more of like a fusion, but not a great one. If in the area again would not eat here again. Read more

Nice makeover of the old Carlos & Charlie's. Only had drinks and karaoke, so I cannot do the usual full review. Staff was... courteous and prompt. Good so far. Just a followup. Decide to try to the food instead of just drinks. I am upgrading to 5stars. Staff was courteous and prompt as before. We were the only customer in the dining room. However I find that this oftenleads to worse service. Appetizers were delivered hot and fresh. Meals came out on time amd hot as well. Ingredients werefresh and as touted, made in house for most of them from what I could tell. Definitely going back. Recommend a visit. Read more

A perfect place for a small group of friends to hang out in. The first thing you see as you open the door is a bar. The... restaurant surrounds the bar. Food was good and service was very friendly. Highly simply recommended! Read more

I sat at the bar, the atmosphere was cool. I will say, it is NOT authentic Mexican food. The food is American-Mex & it was ok... for bsr food. Karaoke was fun. Also the parking lot is very dark and the spaces are tight. Read more

I really wanted to like Almigo's. My partner and I kept driving by in anticipation of it opening. But I honestly don't think it... deserves more than a 2 star review. The ambience is charming and fun - the bar is beautiful! They have a great variety on theirmenu. My compliments are going to kind of trail off there, though, unfortunately. We started with the $12 Mexican street corndip. I'd be surprised if any more than a standard measuring cup of the dip fit in the tiny bowl they brought out. The "freshfried corn tortilla chips" were certainly not fresh or fried anywhere near the restaurant. The dip was not bad, but lacked anykick considering there were chilis in it and $12?! Yikes. I got the pork carnitas taco salad, my partner got the enchiladassuizas rojos. The salad was OK. Nothing special and I was kind of put off by the pork being room temperature. The enchiladaswere so incredibly bland. The chicken inside had zero seasoning or marinade. The Rojas sauce was seriously lacking flavor andheat. And the rice was basically fried rice with some yellow coloring added. Was anything absolutely horrible? No. We wereabsolutely famished and we ate our dishes. We thought about telling the waitress that we thought the dishes lacked flavor....andmaybe we should of, but honestly, what would they do about that? Throw some salt and pepper on? So we ate and left. $60 for 2drinks, an appetizer (which cost more than the salad), and 2 median-priced meals from the menu. Definitely not worth it. Also, the service was....fine? Nothing special. Definitely not going out of the way. I hope that Almigo's figures out some trulyMexican flavor profiles. I get that it's a "Mexican/American Restaurant and Bar," but as someone who grew up in the southwest, Ican confidently say the only thing Mexican about this place is the entree names. Read more
