We recently held my daughter’s bridal shower at Commonwealth Cafe and it was great! Twenty five people attended the buffet... luncheon. We brought our own adult beverages. The food was wonderful and the service excellent. I highly recommend Commonwealthif you are looking for breakfast, brunch or lunch, or if you are having an event. We were all very happy! Read more

Absolutely horrible experience! We were tourists traveling in Lancaster and we were recommended to try commonwealth for... Breakfast. We checked out the website and decided to give it a try. We fought with parking for a couple minutes but didn’treally mind, but when we walked inside we were greeted by two young hostess’s and they were condescending, aloof and justplain ignorant. They asked we had reservations, we said no and despite the fact the 4 tables were empty they told us they couldnot serve us today. Almost every restaurant I’ve ever been to will give you a wait time and then you decide if you want towait. They just flat refused our business. They did not apologize or offer an explanation but just smugly dismissed us. Wewill not be back. This place was very “trendy” and the crowd was very young and hip, I guess older, heavy set peoplearen’t the clientele they are looking for. Very disappointed. Read more

We had visited this location on a whim July 25 '21. It is located in such a quiet area of Lancaster City I would've never... thought to look there for a restaurant. My husband and I wanted a quiet place for brunch and this worked out perfect! The staffwas amazing, the food was bursting with flavor and the presentation of the food was awesome as well! Shown in the pictures arethe salted maple lattes, loaded avocado toast and chicken and waffles. I recommend this for anyone who enjoys supporting localfamily owned business where the food is impeccable! Read more

Cute place. Nice service. Very tasty food. I was a glutton and ordered two brunch dishes but I think a normal person would... enjoy one dish. Read more

We love this spot in our neighborhood! The food is amazing (I dream about the JB) and we’ve felt very comfortable there... through the pandemic. We appreciate the flexibility to get takeout/delivery or eat outside, even in the colder months, and theowners and staff are fantastic. This is one of our favorite places to bring out-of-town guests for brunch because they’re veryaccommodating of allergies and different dietary needs. Read more
