If you're traveling in the area this is where you want to go for good vibes, great service and delicious food!! AND not to... mention it's a BEAUTIFUL, old school, large A&W with outdoor car-hops and dine-in options, with table service! I cannot sayenough about it...and the staff! I traveled from Wausau for work last weekend and came here after a long work day, open til10:30pm!!! Yay!!! I was OVERLY impressed with the staff and their great, HAPPY vibes!! Mostly all young peeps forstaff...could've been out with friends on this Saturday night, could've been grumpy about being at work on Saturday night, butthere was NONE of that whatsoever! They were laughing, high-fiving, smiling, and attentive to customers. WOW!! You guys NAILEDIT!! (KITCHEN and DINING ROOM) Jayden tended to me and did a FABULOUS job!!! What a nice young man!! I had 3 piece Coddinner, fries, root beer float, cheese curds and Chili. Yes!! I was hungry!! It was ALL DELISH, hot and just what I needed(: Iwas also impressed that this fine establishment was generous with condiments!! I'll be back for sure I hope! Wish I were thereright now haha ???? I stopped at A & W Restaurant in Lancaster, Wisconsin on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. I rode my motorcycle from Milwaukee to... Lancaster. A long story short. I am Originally from Milwaukee. However my Family and I Lived in Lancaster in parts of The1980's and The 1990's before we moved back to Milwaukee and I ended up joining up as part of The United States Air Force. Itake a trip back out to Lancaster every couple of Years. It was a nice trip down Memory Lane visiting Lancaster. The waitressesstill wear the Old fashioned quarter holsters on their hips. They still have the car hop there, which I Love. Most of The A & WRestaurants in Milwaukee County closed out over the Years. There are only two A & W Restaurants left in SoutheastWisconsin. One is on Highway 100 in Hales Corners, Wisconsin next to West Allis, Wisconsin. Their location is kind of ugly andit looks nothing like a A & W Restaurant. In fact it is designed like one of those ugly big square box stores like the NewMcDonald's locations now. The other location is in Franksville, Wisconsin in Racine County which the outside still looks like aA & W Restaurant. However they don't have a car hop and they don't wear the quarter holsters. In fact they don't even wear A & WUniforms there. Part of the reason why the A&W Restaurant location in Lancaster is so special to me is because it still hasthat Old fashioned Mom and Pop Shop look and feel as well as the Old jukebox inside even though it was explained to me by mywaitress there at the jukebox has not worked in quite some Years now. It still has that nostalgic look that I like. I hope thatthe owners don't change any of that, because that is what makes it so special yet and that is part of the reason why the A & WRestaurant in Lancaster, Wisconsin is my favorite A & W Restaurant location to visit. Was in from out of State. Love A&W! Always had good service previously. Entered and took a seat. 10 to 15 minutes later other... people entered and we're promptly greeted and order was taken. Feeling unwelcomed and not wanting to make a fuss I got up andleft. Left hungry and disappointed. Read more
Had a Teen Burger, or as it's called now, a bacon cheeseburger! Delicious!! Had an order of cheese curds too. Also, delicious!... But the best part was the root beer! Reminded me of going to the A and W here in town. Fast and very friendly service! Read more
This A&W Is a lot like the A&W I remember back in the 70s and early 80s. Drive in and park and order from your car. They also... have indoor service. They have great service and great food. There chicken strips are some of the best I?ve ever had. They?rehamburgers and french fries are very tasty also. And don?t forget about a root beer float. I personally drive over an hour toget to this A&W I enjoy it that much. I highly recommend eating at this A&W located in the town of Lancaster Wisconsin Read more
