I want to start this review by saying that I got a *weird* meal for a diner. This place is clean and definitely tries hard to... offer good customer service. Our server was friendly, funny and attentive. The interior of Metro Diner is also well done. Thekitchen is open and the restaurant has ample seating that is well spaced. DOn't be fooled by the exterior (strip mall). This isdefinitely one of the nicer diners in the area. The food, however was nothing special. I got Avocado Toast with Egg Whites witha side of broccoli and my friend got a salad with fried chicken tenders on it. Neither were amazing but both definitely weredone well. However, I did like that I was able to get something healthy at a reasonable price on their menu. They had manyUnhealthy options that looked delicious. One of the things that I do like about Metro is that they do not have a massive menulike most diners do. They had a board of rotating specials that seem to change daily and their menu was large but not crazy. Westopped in for a quick lunch and this is definitely the way to do it. If you are in the area and in need of a quick bite,definitely give this place a try. I'm only giving it 4 starts because the food was not top notch. Read more
Took my Fiance' to dinner for his birthday. My dinner was AWESOME. I had the roast turkey plate, it was absolutely delicious. He... started with the tomato bisque which was a bit to salty for his taste. His entree was the club sandwich. He said it was "okay"and brought half of it home. Everything was excellent. Good food, good service and good environment.
We visited this Metro for the first time. It was inviting, clean, orderly, staff was friendly, helpful, attentive and chatty... all good things. Food was hot and perfect comfort food for our bellies on such a cold evening (20 degrees, brrrrr). We both hadthe Tavern casserole, ground beef, carrots, onion, peas, covered with smooth mashed potatoes and a new twist melted cheese, boywas it delicious.
