I barely rate Poppys in Langhorne 2 stars since my Slice online order had been given to another customer when I arrived. The... order of wings I finally got, well folks judge for youself from the attached photo. The thing about Poppys is, there's too manychickens with their heads cut off behind the counter and in and around the kitchen area. Like, there's no definitive personrunning the place, two and three employees ask you every 10 minutes if you've been waited on. Don't expect your food on timeeven when ordering online mid-afternoon for stopping after work to pick it up. Sadly, Poppys has gone downhill and no one therewill take accountability for their lack of organization, but, and this is a big but, the kid at the register offered a free 20oz. Frankly very disappointed. Buffalo chicken pizza super thin, very sparse toppings. The plain cheese pizza was also extremely... thin with sparse topping. Just not good quality for the price charged. Felt like sauce on pita bread and to be honest I wasreally hungry so I?m extra disappointed. Read more
I am a big supporter of local businesses and always want to take my business to them so I tried this place for the first time... and I received the order 1 hour 20 minutes later. The pizza was ice cold and the wings were burnt black ( even the dog refusedto touch them ). Called the manager and voiced my concerns who just said " don't call back again ". I seriously don't know howthey are still in business when they can take people's money without actually looking at what they are serving them. Needless tosay disgusted with the place . Tried a meatlovers pizza and curly fries. They load the pizza. It's got some flop and wasn't super crispy. The toppings were... good though. It's good pizza but I like a crispy bottom crust. Some char would be good too. I'd go again. They have a pretty bigmenu and nice dining area. Read more
I ordered the eggplant parmesan sandwich. The eggplant was cooked well but there was barely any sauce for a parmesan sandwich.... They should be embarrassed at the cheap amount of sauce they put on that sandwich. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyonelooking for a good pizza place. My friend ordered Italian wedding soup and they didn't tell him they didn't have any until afterall the other food was out and they forgot we ordered soup in the first place. His girlfriend and daughter ordered pasta withvodka sauce and said the portion was much less than they've ever ordered before. Bad service, cheap place ???? Read more
So as you all know I am not from this area the food here is amazing. The staff here where friendly and passionate about their... quality of service and foods. The wing are great with the option of breaded or traditional style and the pizza is great cheeseblend is right on not to much sauce and the right amount of crispness to the crust over all I'll be back again Read more
Stop #12 on our Pizza Tour 2022 is Poppy's Pizzeria and Ristorante in Langhorne, PA. Being located next to a freight railroad... line made for some convenient at-your-table train watching. I wish they had outdoor trackside seating, tho you could just eat atyour car, LOL. We got our usual plain and pepperoni slices. Another place with BIG slices. Tasty thin crust. Probably thethinnest crust we've had yet. Thin WITHOUT being dry and cracker-like...crisp outside, chewy inside. Great for any pizza"folders" out there. Good tomato sauce with a basil edge and great quality cheese. Sauce was nicely spiced, not too sweet orbitter. Pepperoni was good and spicy, as expected. Overall, a very good pizza.
