This s the first time i have been in Mai restaurant and i was really impressed with the foods as well as the vibe here. The broth was SO flavourful and they included some extra veggies other places don?t... offer like green beans and mushrooms in addition to the usual veggies. I am very picky when it comes to Vietnamese food. So much so that I barely ever go to Vietnamese restaurants in the lower... mainland. But on this day, I was not the designated driver and my buddy that was driving insisted on eating at ?Mai?s VietnameseRestaurants? in Walnut Grove Langley. I pouted the whole way there. When we got there we were greeted by an absolutely lovelyyoung lady who was not just nice, she was funny too. She also turned out to be our waitress ?????????. Right from the beginningto end this young lady nailed her job and made every wait staff I have thought was on the awesome trail before - look like anAmateur. She always made sure we had tea, and our food came out in perfect timing. That?s not all that made her great - like Isaid nice and funny. So I have to say the service at Mai?s is way above standard. 5 stars just for service. What about thefood? Because honestly, that is why we go out to eat - food. It was spot on perfect. The calamari was perfectly tender - whichmeans fresh and cooked to perfection. I could have eaten that appetizer to myself. But sadly, I had to share ????. So onto themain - I had the Vermicelli. You can have your vermicelli with a choice of 6 different proteins. I chose ???? BBQ Black TigerPrawns. ???? Mai really does know how to cook. They too were also tender and fresh. I know what you?re thinking. Pfft so she cancook a prawn to perfection????? I cannot tell you how many times I have eaten at restaurants and this was always messed up.Usually cooks overcook prawns.
