A very lovely restaurant in Langley! We went to Shiraz Grill for an early Sunday evening dinner. The place is very spacious,... clean and nicely decorated. We were warmly welcomed and were sat at a table near a window. They offered "specials of the day"with several very good choices. The menu was very interesting in the sense that the offerings were a selection of Persian dishesand Italian dishes...somewhat unusual, but not displeasing. Since I had intended to introduce my guest to Persian food, after anexcellent eggplant dip appetizer, we selected the Shiraz Special, offering a variety of skewered beef, chicken, ground beef andprawn kabobs with rice and salad. Alcoholic beverages were offered, although we chose to not partake. The dishes arrivedpromptly, beautifully presented and hot. All items tasted wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed the variety offered. The servicewas very attentive and pleasant without being intrusive. The final bill for our dinner was reasonable and on par withrestaurants of similar caliber. We did wind up with a large "doggy bag" to take home as we seemed to have ordered more than wecould consume in one seating. Other patrons came in as we were about to finish our dinner so it is a good sign that it is awell frequented establishment. We did not have reservations, but I would probably suggest calling ahead if wanting to head thereon a Friday or Saturday evening. I would definitely recommend paying Shiraz Grill a visit...whether you feel like Italian orPersian. Read more
A restaurant should offer an enjoyable experience with the right combination of good food, good atmosphere, and good service.... Shiraz does not fit any of these simple criteria. I ate at Shiraz with some friends mid July, as we enjoy sampling ethnicfoods. Shiraz offers Persian style food so we drove to downtown Langley to try it. We were greeted (and I use that wordloosely) at the door by an older woman (who we believe to be the manager) who bragged about how good the food was - which wethought was rather odd. Most of the tables were empty, and she kept rushing us. It took a long time to get a menu, place ourorder, and have the plates served, We were only half done eating our mediocre meals when she comes stomping by with to-go boxesand instructs us to hurry up as she is expecting more guests. One of my party pointed out that the place was virtually emptyand why should we rush when the service was so slow. Her response - If you don't like it, you can leave. We all sat there indisbelief, paid our bill (without a tip!) as soon as we could and never felt a breath of air so fresh as when we walked out onthe street. Never again. Shiraz failed us in all respects. Anybody who is leaving more than two stars for Shiraz isdelusional. Read more
Shiraz Grill is an outstanding Persian-Italian restaurant. Started with the deep fried calamari, the batter and squid was light,... crisp, and enticing. We decided to focus on the Persian offerings on the menu for lunch. The meat they source is top notch,certified organic meat. The kebob plates were perfectly seasoned and grilled, and it goes well with the saffron rice. Wouldvisit again to enjoy the rest of their menu. Each bite reels you in for seconds. The portioning is adequate and was comfortablyfull by the end. The service was exceptional. Both Waiter and management checked in on our table to assure if the food is okay.Water topped up consistently. I couldn't ask for a better service. I wish all restaurants would strive for this level ofexcellence. Read more
Amazing food and service We got gifted a gift certificate to try out this gem of a restaurant. My wife and myself were extremely... delighted It lived up to my friends recommendation. We were seated right away, as it wasn?t busy when we got there. Food was very delicious!We ordered both beef and chicken kebob... and they were sooo tasty and tender! The calamari with tzatziki sauce was bomb! Highly recommend! Read more
Wooow!! I can?t say how much I loved this restaurant and its food!! There is a lady there named Sufi I guess, she is so lovely... and amazing person! I was starving and she didn?t even let me feel that by chatting with me the whole time that I was waitingfor my order to get ready. Read more
Wow! I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars as it's hands down the best Persian restaurant I've ever tried in lower... mainland. This spot never disappoints.
