Amazing post Ragnar lunch. Service was totally spot on. Our waiter (Joe?) was terrific. We got chickpea fries and gougeres, and... I had the spinach, feta, cherry tomato quiche. If you're a local islander, you know this place. If you're a city dwelling-ferry hopping weekender, you must get to know this... place. Prima Bistro is not French fine dining but more like French-Pacific Northwest fusion cuisine. Located in the ? of Langleyon Whidbey Island, the restaurant is a flight up the stairs to the second floor that has an outdoor balcony for ocean viewseating and a deep dining room. The clams & chorizo entree was delicious & a generous portion. However, the well seasoned &slightly spicy chorizo overwhelmed the clams. The juice is excellent for bread dipping. The French onion soup was unique and notthe typical standard one would expect but hearty & delicious nonetheless. The croque monsieur had heft with succulent ham withsubtle but tasty dijon flavor. The calamari fritti was prepared just right and the harissa rouille was prima! Last time Ivisited was 11 years ago. So glad this place is still here. The food is still excellent. The waitstaff is professional, courteous, attentive & friendly. The interior has a theatre vibe and the ocean view is so NW. Support your local smallbusinesses & independent restaurants ???? Took a little adventure "over the water and thru the woods" to one of our favorite little French bistros to celebrate another... successful, happy, and healthy trip around the sun ????. Bring on a little right-bank yum yum vino to pair with the slow-cookedbeef bolognese, sherry-laden onion soup, and other goodies ????. Wrapped things up with an orange caramel creme brulee andchocolate hazelnut torte... but the fun for me was a little digestif absinthe fountain action. Love me some green fairy tofinish the evening ??????????? Read more

The restaurant is located upstairs so it?s hard to realize that it is full of customers and has very lively and posh vibe. I... could only get table at bar as it was fully booked out on Saturday night. The burger was pretty high quality but drinks were toosugary for my taste. Icecream as well was too sweet and I would probably not get any desserts. Service was very nice andwelcoming. Read more

I would literally drink their blue cheese aioli with a straw. Absolutely drool-worthy. We enjoyed their super fun mixed drinks... and amazing views! Service was excellent. The homemade pickles were spicy! And they accommodated Gluten Free!! Read more

This french restaurant is a hidden treasure in Whidbey island. We had a wait time of about 45 mins on Sunday evening. The staff... was so friendly and helpful. We ordered clamps, muscles and veggies, wine and desserts. The clamps were perfectly cooked withtomatoes, herbs and pork, the muscles were the best too, cooked with celery, garlic, onions. The wine tasted so well with thefood. The desserts are a must try! The hazelnut chocolate moose was a perfect end to our delicious dinner. Definitely going tothis place again. Read more
