From the diary of a diner junkie: I had never been to Empire before but I?ll tell you I?ll be going back real soon! First, our... waitress Tammy, ?best in the world?! She was on it, meaning she truly sees what?s going on around her! Thanks Tammy! Second, theeggs cooked to perfection, oh and the potatoes (add onion) omg so fresh and yummy! The scrapple was delicious too! The place isclean, even the bathrooms! My friend had the chicken Caesar wrap in a spinach tortilla and the meal was big enough to have lunchfor the next day. The soup was flavorful, the atmosphere was relaxing but the service was a bit...well, I have to say I'm used to a waitress... checking back to see how you're enjoying your meal,....if you need anything else, however, that wasn't the case here. I got the sausage gravy and biscuit home fries with cheese eggs. She got the pancakes, sausage and cheese eggs. Food was good... orange juice was good. When you order cheese eggs remember to put ketchup on them. They have a huge menu which I like. Greatplace to go to late night or during the day. Open 24 hours I think. First, the menu has at least 200 or more items on it. It was like reading a book!!! The waitress came back three times before I... found something my taste buds finally settled on. I ordered the half chicken w/ mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. Thechicken was overcooked and dry, the potatoes were mediocre but the veggies were delicious. The waitress brought drinks with herhands covering the top of the glass which is unsanitary because everyone doesn't want to drink from a straw. She should havebeen taught to pick up and distribute drinks from the middle or bottom of the glass. The atmosphere was very laid back and calm. Read more
