Hilltop has always been a ?must stop? for breakfast for the last 40 years. Coffee and Sweet Rolls, warm smiles always a 8 out of... 5 stars. Welcome environment. At least till this last weekend. I don?t know what happened but 3 out of three days, the coffeewas undrinkable. So thin it tasted horrible. Could see the spoon at the bottom of a brown cup. Tried OJ, was watered down. Sweetrolls were always hot, fresh with frosting oozing?except the last two days. Sweet rolls cold and just on a plate. Had to ask forextra frosting 2 of three days. Not sure what happened or what?s going on. Is this the end of tradition? Read more
Cinnamon rolls were recommended by a friend so we stopped in when going through the area. We were not disappointed. I have never... seen anything like it. Giant, fresh and delicious plus fresh bread and other baked things... Wrapped and ready to go if you aretraveling. Read more
Service was good and food came out very quickly. The cinnamon rolls were BIG and good; but they go a little tough from... microwaving them. If they cut them in half, grilled them and then iced them before serving, you'd have something superior. Read more
Food was good. Love the dinner rolls. Always a must road trip stop for breakfast before a good day's hike amongst the lake of... the lake of the clouds. Even better is their hot fresh dinner before catching an sunset. Enjoy your day's. ???? Read more
Food is great but even if we do not stop to eat, we stop for the cinnamon rolls! Best in the UP!
Last 2 times we ate here.... Very impressed. New menu, very nice. Last 2 servers, were excellent!!! Someone is training... correctly because the staff has improved 130%. They pay attention, there nice & definitely will be going back alot more. 5thumbs up!! Read more
Staff was tight due to Covid but our waitress was still attentive and our orders were correct. Seriously the BEST fried cod I... have ever had! We did buy the famous cinnamon rolls to take on the go as well! Read more
Such great service!! Absolutely so nice. If you want big portions, then anything on this menu will be a good choice. My cousin... and I split a BLT with french fries. It is soooo yummy. We had to try their enormous cinnamon rolls that were so gooey, gooeyand just melts in your mouth. We took half of it back to our motel room. A++++ Read more
