This place has FANTASTIC Lattes and their sandwiches are exceptional. I really appreciate the great atmosphere and the superb... service. The ladies who are working here made us feel right at home and really took care of us well! (It was a mom and herdaughters, which is so sweet.) they gave great menu recommendations. The food was high quality and had unique flavors. What agem! Read more

Great spot right on the river for coffee, breakfast or both. Staff was super friendly and the menu is quite robust. We arrived... right when they opened and it wasn't busy at all but within 30 mins the line was pretty long, though they got through itquickly. Tons of space so it never felt crowded either. Would highly recommend to anyone. Can't wait to come back! Read more

Delightful! Delicious pastries and coffee. Super cute decor. We were able to park our boat right there, come up for a coffee on... the deck and have a lovely stop on our boat trip. We will return for more cheesecake! yum! Read more

Wonderful place for lunch! The ambiance is old-mill-on-the-river delightful, but best of all is the menu, which changes... seasonally. We stopped for a quick sandwich, and ended up ordering flatbread instead. Flavors were unique and fabulous. Theirsmoothie was the best I have ever tasted. This is worth a drive across the river from Wisconsin to northern Iowa to experiencethe food, the coffee or smoothies, and the incredible atmosphere in the old mill. Read more

One of the most unique coffee shops I?ve ever visited. Situated in an old granary which was originally used to fill barges going... down the River. The sausage wrap was amazing and big enough to share. My only complaint is that I ordered an iced latte for$4.75 and they gave me a $6.75 cold press instead, without any explanation. (Ahem, I know the difference.) Read more

Coffee on the River was a delightful finding for us as we traveled through Lansing, IA. Many thanks to co-owners Diana... Wilson-Thompson and Wendi Eiden for creating this unusual and fun experience. When conducting a Google search for coffee and anice place to stretch our legs showed places nearby, we loved the shops vibrant and welcoming exterior and stopped. We were sohappy to land here and discover how this former granary has been delightfully renovated and put back in service to thecommunity. There was just the right chocolatiness and sweetness to the hot chocolate. It reminded me of European hot chocolatebeverages; thick, decadent, and insanely chocolaty. The berry cheese cake and score were ideal partners to my dark-roast coffee. We found it so interesting to take in the décor, read the signage, and talk a bit to the staff and other customers. If you area first-time visitor like we were, I suggest planning time to enjoy the building. Up north in MN, where I grew up, my father wasclose to the local granary owner and the artifacts here drew up fond memories. The location is decorated in a period style, right on the river, and has a wonderful back patio. Its uniqueness is refreshing. I?m adding a few video clips to describe itbetter. The combination of enjoying a great cup of coffee, the spectacular views of the river, to the homemade treats is quite atreat! Coffee on the River is an absolutely amazing coffee shop that is an ideal space for family, friends, and groups togather. Just be aware of the functional rail road track that is right there. It has a nice off-road parking lot. Great service, too! I highly recommend it! Read more
