Very dissatisfied. Waited hour and 10 minutes for food. Waitress came over then said that 2 large parties came in as we did so... pushed service back 45 minutes. Hadn't told us. Manager came over after that and said they would make it right. Hamburgers cameout with refrigerator cold onions that were colder than the cheese and pickles. They gave us our food for free though. Dagwood's struck me as a "comfortable" gathering place for locals where the patrons seemed to know each other. The food was... typical "bar food," but it was quite good. I had the Grouper Basket. It has more fish flavor than does the regular Fish & Chipswhich is made with Cod. I prefer the flavor of the Grouper even though the pieces are a bit smaller. Read more

I don't know why so many people rave about this place and their burgers. Yes, the atmosphere is great. It's got that dive bar... feel with old beer company memorabilia, vinyl booths and a nice bar, but the food is definitely nothing to go out of your wayfor. This is my second time there to eat, and I was seriously underwhelmed by the food. Had the Dag burger with chili fries andI was very disappointed. The burger is an extremely thin, pre-formed and obviously frozen patty that you could barely taste withall the toppings. My chili fries were swimming in liquid so much that I wanted to ask for a spoon. Top it all off, the niceatmosphere was spoiled by the attitude of our waitress, who just seemed miserable and not wanting to be there. 4 stars for theatmosphere but it loses at least one star for the food. Good food, fair prices. They could do a bit more love and care on making their items; a burger doesn't need a quarter inch... thick full onion on it. But it's hard to argue with a $6 burger with fries and a beer. Read more
For an Eastsider, it?s nice to know this place continues to hummm. I think everyone knows, this place always has cold beer,... great drinks and the best fries in town. If your hungry, I mean really hungry, of course you can have the Queens Burger. Beprepared to have 17 patties, 34 slices of cheese on a bun. Bon appetite! Read more
Great little place. No nonsense bar food. Loved the atmosphere as a little hometown bar. Went on a game night so was a little... hard to get service but they were hustling. A must stop by if you like burgers and fries. Cold beer on tap. Read more
