Heads up: I’m going to complain about the service (the server/receptionist seemed inexperienced or new), but the food was... good. I called 20 minutes ahead and ordered a vegetarian pork dish. I specified over the phone that I do NOT eat meat and thereceptionist didn’t seem to have an issue understanding me. When I got there, my order was under fried rice. He tried to putin the order again but didn’t know where it was on the computer or how to even do it. I watched as he put in a meat version ofwhat I ordered and had to correct him—in the end I had to look up the number of the order online and give it to him so that hecould enter it properly on the computer. Who seemed like the actual owner came out and asked if everything was okay veryapologetically because it seemed like the server was messing up orders all day. A family member of mine dined with them the sameday and said their order was wrong too. I’m not sure if they’re short on staff or what but I’m afraid these reviews maygo downhill with the service they’re providing. I see hard workers in the kitchen and it is a small business which Icompletely empathize with. The food eventually came out quickly and was fresh. It’s definitely authentic Chinese food, but theserver and workers have a huge language barrier that they need to overcome. Hoping their service improves by the time I visitagain! Read more
Delicious Sichuan beef soup. Broth tasted of a long slow simmer, with a nice crackle of Sichuan peppercorns and nice background... heat, without overwhelming the palate. Beef had a long braise and was falling apart in a great way. Do yourself a favor andorder off of the traditional Chinese menu, will be back for sure Read more
Best vegan food in Lansing!!! Immaculate authentic Chinese cuisine right here in Lansing with TONS of vegan options (even more... for vegetarian options). My photo is all vegan food including vegan chicken, pork, and fried tofu in various dishes/styles. Theyhave a vegan beef that can be made several ways that I’m excited to try when I come back. Owner is the nicest woman I’veever met and was happy to accommodate any dishes for our preferences/dietary restrictions. We came home with tons of left oversthat are just as good the next day! So good! The hot n sour soup was perfect and the right amount of hot. Crab ragoons creamy and crisp, and the Mongolian beef was... super flavorful. My fiancé got the General Tso’s with the vegetarian “chicken” and was very impressed! Good hot tea aswell if you dine in - we were the only diners at the time but the takeout was crazy busy! Will 100% be going back to try more ofthe menu - especially the traditional Chinese! Large portions too, we both took almost half of our entrees home! Super kindastaff as well! Read more
Good food. The owners were very nice and offered a free order of green beans. The best was the spinach, they were very tender... and garlicky!!! The fish fillets were tasty and the egg plants were hot and juicy (it could be more garlic and flavorful).Everything was pretty good, and I would not mind being back to try more of their dishes. Hong Kong has great food! I checked out their lunch buffet and had a great meal. From the lo mein, to the chicken and broccoli,... to the crab rangoons (my personal fave), I’ve got a few good reasons to stop by here again. Definitely check this place out! Read more
