This was the first time I?ve had a bad experience with this restaurant and I have food delivered at least once a month. I am... commenting only because I know they can do better and hopefully this is a one time issue. The souvlaki dinner, meat was dry, tough and flavorless. Yaiyia would be devastated, the tzatziki also very bland. It was just sour cream and cucumber. I?ve nothad these issues prior, so I?m thinking new staff or just plain rushing? Maybe cutting costs? I?m not sure the reason, benefitof the doubt, it will be better again next time. Marinate the meat like you were taught, and tzatziki has garlic and lemon also! Read more

Really good food and our server, Lexie, was terrific! As soon as we seated ourselves, a woman got up from another table, greeted... us, took our drink orders, and told us she was actually off duty but she'd make sure our waitress knew we were there! But it wasSO LOUD, even though by the time we left, the dining side where we were seated had only one other table taken! It wasn't themusic, either, it was the bar area noise. We would return again for the good food, but not on a Friday night. Read more

I've never had a bartender tip themselves out before they handed me the bill before today. (2/17/22) came in after work and had... a cup of chili, a windy city, and a few two hearted beers. The waitress/bartender asked if she could close me out because it wasthe end of her shift and I handed her my card. The total came to $34.45. Not a big deal rounded up to $40 and signed thebill...jumped on my phone to check my account because I only moved $30 on it at the beginning of the day....and she had alreadyran my tab for $41.34. Now don't get me wrong...it's not really the $1.34. I adjusted my total after I had seen that she didthat so it didn't throw off her numbers. Not saying that she wasn't worth a 20% tip either. If they had tablets with a 30%button...that's what I would have hit. But if you hand me something to be signed...I'll round up to the next $5 increment thatseems deserved. A six dollar tip for a mostly empty bar at 3pm for a sandwich and beers seemed more than fair to me. Taking itupon yourself to tip yourself more....meh, that puts a bad taste in my mouth after just having a fantastic meal.. Read more

What's not to love? This place is as warm and familiar as your own coat pocket. Dreary, grey January day, all seats filled and... no-one in a hurry. Old Indiana-Purdue basketball game on the TV and Foreigner on the Jukebox. The keen eyed observers might evensee the waitresses doing a shot. All the food is great, but get the original if passing through. Staff is hanging on by athread. Give em' a break and a tip. Read more
