We came in a group of 12 after a day at the Capitol. They were very accommodating and the service was great. I asked for my... burger to be cooked medium, but it was well done. I ate it anyhow since I hadn't ate in about 10 hours. I didnt really enjoy it,but everyone else seemed to enjoy theirs. The atmosphere was interesting. We enjoyed looking around as the setting wasdefinitely unique! My group was excited about the list of craft beers. My big complaint was the 20% gratuity they hit us for! Istarted writing a tip amount and was trying to figure out why my burger, fries and pepsi was over $22! Then I saw it andscribbled out my tip. We will not return! Read more
Service, atmosphere, and food presentation was great. The food taste and preparation was subpar. Mimosas are premixed, meaning... they're flat. Blueberry pancakes had few blueberries and were burnt on the bottom. The smoked salmon eggs benedict had too manyflavors that didn't jive, the eggs were medium boiled not poached, and the muffin was hardly toasted. It all looked wonderful,but the taste and preparation could be much better. I'd go back but would try something else. Read more
I would have given 5 stars but there was no one at the door upon entering at the host podium. It was around 2:15pm I believe... they are open for pm service, it was Friday. The menu is standard American fare nothing to write home about, I suppose this isthe appeal and due to it's location to the state capitol. I ordered a "cheap date" draft beer and Absolut on the rocks, Totallydelicious! I'd go back if I lived in Lansing, thank goodness I don't, but this would be a great place to visit regularly. Upscale bar food, great service, unique deserts ( the waffle with ice cream was good definitely worth a try but not an every... time thing, ask for extra Nutella ) Brunch edit: great mimosas (less champagne more Orange juice for 3$ is great. I'd ratherhave two of these then one for 6$ that's basically just champagne) chicken and waffles are also really good. Grilled chickenthen breaded and fried. Homemade waffles. Very well done. I have mixed thoughts about this place. On the positive, the food is generally good and location is good as well. Check out the... pic of the Nutella brunch waffle The menu might need a little updating as I had a chirizo waffle that had guac and onions addedonto it, but weren't listed as ingredients on the menu. I hate onions so it wasn't a pleasant surprise On the negative, theyrecently implemented a 3.5% credit and debit card fee? How dumb! Build that into your prices. Not to mention debit card swipefees are nowhere near this high. They also listed it was "infeasible to split up checks for parties greater than 4". Every year we travel to Lansing on business. One of the best places to eat in my opinion. Service is very attentive and... friendly. Try the cedar plank salmon if you like seafood! The place also offers a variety of drinks including craft beers. Ifyou eat outside on the patio you can ee the capitol building which is beautiul at night. I will post a photo. Read more

Talk about a great location downtown. The atmosphere inside was really calm & made it easy to relax & catch a bite to eat.... Bathrooms were clean & the food was really good. The service however was just very underwhelming unfortunately. My order cameout with a couple things I requested not to have on my sandwich. I didn't complain, just picked off what I didn't want & placedin a nice pile on my plate which she seen but didn't care to comment on. That was the only "check on" we received during ourhour there. After sitting there for awhile (no longer eating) I finally was able to get her attention for some boxes & ourcheck. Again, the food & atmosphere were great. Not badly priced either! Read more
