Always good. Accurate. Quick. Nice portions (1 year ago) Today's experience ??extremely disappointing. Already at the shopping... center. Last minute decision, went in to order. Didn't order fast enough, they had better things to attend to? No one else inline or dining, told it would be 15 minutes. It was 20. Looked over cooked, tasted like leftover chicken from lunch & a gravyshortage. I did not think Mandarin chicken could be that bad. Chicken so dry. All the extra pieces of coating/breading mixed inthe rice half hard and chewy half gooey mush. That's the quality to expect now? Honestly terrible. Read more

I put 4 stars because this restaurant does not clean the shrimp well, it is the second time and they are always with dirt in the... middle (black) I hope that they please do something and clean them well because it is disgusting. Positive: A nice environment, clean, ample parking and very friendly staff. Read more

They have the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. It is always hot and fresh along with it being done in a timely manner.

If I could give them more stars I would. The price was great, $12 for a FULL dinner plate.. I ordered the Mandarin Chicken w/... shrimp fried rice. My girlfriend order the Garlic Chicken spicy. Neither my girlfriend nor myself could finish all the food.Definitely going to have left overs. Food was nothing less than amazing. Fresh cooked, hot, and perfectly done. They've evenincluded HOMEMADE duck sauce. The best shrimp fried rice I've had in my life. Most restaurants are over cooked and dried out, this was well seasoned and very moist. I used to go to Dragon Garden all the time, but they've gotten way to expensive chargingnearly 18 dollars each dinner plate. I will DEFINITELY be coming back for more. Great job Golden China, you've got yourself anew customer! Read more

Cleanest Chinese food restaurant I have ever been in, in the history of me eating Chinese food! The entire place was spotless! ... Did a quick pork fried rice and fried wanton order to go. My mistake was not asking what what type of fried wanton as some comefilled with meat, these did not but this was my mistake. The rice was delicious. The cashier was friendly and polite and theatmosphere was great! Def recommend! Read more

I drove past Golden China and realized a new restaurant has opened in Laplace. I noticed the now open sign hanging in front and... made plans to give them a try. We have quite a few Chinese restaurants in Laplace, so I was hoping this one would be a littledifferent from the rest (perhaps a buffet or some hibachi to order). I was going to stop by on Sunday and headed to therestaurant at about 6:30 pm. It was closed! I am guessing they don't open on Sundays, but maybe they closed early or maybe thewere just closed this Sunday. So, Monday came and I thought I would try again. My family and I arrived at the restaurant atabout 7:15 and was immediately seated (there was only one other family in the restaurant). We looked at the menu and I orderedthe General Tso Chicken Dinner with shrimp fried rice and an eggroll and my daughter ordered the Honey Chicken Dinner also withthe shrimp fried rice and eggroll. I was looking for a small order of lo mein to try, but that was not an available option, youhad order a plate which would have been between $11-$14 so I passed. The egg rolls were brought out first. They had shrimpinside and tasted ok. I paired the eggroll with some of the in house made duck sauce which was pretty good. Next the entreescame out. The portion sizes are really large. We each received a plate full of chicken and a bowl of shrimp fried rice. Thechicken was very saucy (maybe a little to much) but didn't have much flavor. The honey chicken lacked the honey taste and theGeneral Tso Chicken usually has some spice to it, but this one did not. The shrimp fried rice was really good and was myfavorite part of the meal. The service was also good. All in all I thought the whole experience was just average and I honestlywould not be in a rush to return. I wasn't wowed enough to make this my new Chinese stop especially with the many other similaroptions we have here in Laplace. Read more
