Today was my first and last time dining here, the wait staff was pretty nice, upon entering, I ordered the whole fried flounder,... shrimp, fries, and potato salad, when my food came it looked very good, Upon opening the fish I caught a whiff of bad fish, Iwanted to make sure, and yea it was not fresh! The waitress came retrieved the fish to take back to the kitchen, she came backto say I can get something same or lesser price, I was turned off to anything else, and told her it was okay, she then said tome; he?s going to ?make? you pay for that flounder! I told her it wasn?t about the cost, the fish was bad!!! The make me, did itfor me! I don?t like to use the race card, but it made me feel like that?s what it was about! Horrible. No seasoning. Packaged pre mixed gravy. Frozen shrimp used for my grilled shrimp. Dry garlic bread. Literally crumbled... in my hand. We stopped by there for dinner with the kids. I wanted a home-type Louisiana food to eat, we came across this place. We got... calamari and the crab cream based soup for starters, the soup was amazing. Kids got the grilled cheese and fried shrimp, theirportions were very good. I got the combo platter- fried shrimp and crab cake. I also added the red beans and salad. My husbandgot the fried shrimp with hush puppies and corn. I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area. The staff was amazingand very friendly, I loved having a conversation with them.. oh we also got ice cream and the pecan pie! Recommended by some friends and I have to say I'll be coming back when I pass through next. Very friendly staff, cold beer,... hot food with good flavor in a clean environment. My server (Ginger I believe) engaged me well and knew just what I needed.Additionally, she recommended a place where I could get some things I was looking for while in town. The wait staff is all very nice. It was not that busy though and our waitress had kind of a hard time keeping up. The food was... great. We enjoyed our lunch and our time spent together. Will probably visit this place again. Read more

First time here was recommended to come...very disappointed ???? The crab cake was very plain with no seasoning at along with... the other food! Crab cake was more bread & flat, more like a frozen pattie..2 stars was for the shrimp they were decent with noseasoning. Oh the jalapeño hush puppies were bland also.
