Nice restaurant with organic greens in the menu with many choices of steaks and non steak items. Mountain oysters that did not... make it to my plate. Nice atmosphere with lots of history photos and explanations. Good choices for beers and cocktails. Foodfor kiddos as well. Plenty of parking. A little far from downtown Laramie but worth the drive. We ordered one bison ribeye and a one beef ribeye and split them between us. Both were really good and it was interesting to... compare side by side. The bison had a distinct flavor and was our favorite between the two. They didn’t have enough staff toseat us but allowed us to eat dinner at the bar. The bar tender was great. We had a wonderful time. Read more

Last night we went to the cavalryman. We called and were told that they could seat us in 10mins but didn't tell us that the... kitchen was backed up. We had ordered a beer (in a can) which took 20mins for us to get, and by the time we got it we forgot wehad ordered it. By the time we ordered and got our mains another 40mins later I never saw our waitress to let her know that thechicken they brought out was a raw bleeding chicken, until she came back to hand us the check. Unfortunately, I had startedeating the chicken before I noticed. Immediately I ended up having to run out to the parking lot to get sick, because thebathroom doors are left open; so that I didn't disturb anyone else who was eating. After violently getting sick in the parkinglot I had to come back to wait another 20mins for the waitress to take the card to run it. She had taken the card and washelping customers before we got the card back after another 10mins of waiting. At this point i was extremely frustrated. Then weended up having to go to the bar to get a pen to fill out the check to just leave. I've never been more uncomfortable and morefrustrated with a restaurant and the lack of checking on customers. *update*- Called and spoke with Tyler who was really greatand listened to my concerns and frustrations. We were on a Road trip from LA to Nebraska and we happen to stop in this little town to spend the night and have dinner in... Wyoming....we were looking for a steak house and ended here and I'm glad we did..... The staff was very friendly andknowledgeable in everything. especially the General manager she was amazingly helpful and knowledgeable but most of all socialand friendly she recommended us what to eat,.... the best..... the Bison and the beef rib eye! They were very very tender andjuicy super flavourful our favorite one was the bison! They have their own barbecue sauce and it was the bomb! I had never had abarbecue sauce like that, I highly highly highly recommend this place ???? Read more

Just ate there and had to warn others against this place. Came here specifically for steak and organic fare, but they were... only serving a buffet. Was sparse and what I did get was cold. One of the servers kindly heated my plate and the ham andpotatoes were good. Never got anything to drink because the waitress said she'd get me a menu but never did. My husband andson had prime rib which was also cold. Just overall not a good experience and then I get a bill for over $150. Hard to stomachwhen a $5 pizza from Little Caesars would have been hot and tasted better. ***UPDATE**** I contacted the Manager about ourpoor experience, and I was offered apologies, a free meal if we gave them another try, and a full refund. I appreciated howthey handled the situation and although it is unlikely I will return there, I am grateful they made things right with the utmostintegrity and character. Says a lot about them. Traveling all the way from Houston. Needed a place to get a good steak. We were well taken care of. The appetizers were... delicious as well as the main course. Tried Mushrooms, Calamari, and Bison meatballs to start with. Had their locally sourced,grass-fed, tenderloin steak. And finished with their huge bread pudding. Will visit again when in Laramie again. Read more

Awful and expensive experience. Asparagus was so over cooked it crumbled like paper, rough rider came sitting in a 1/4 inch of... grease and Rocky Mountain oysters were so over cooked they were like eating rubber. And the staff’s customer service when Itried to call them was about the same quality. Not worth the price. This was obviously a to go order, however, these were notissues caused by traveling containers. Read more

We went to celebrate our 25th anniversary and it was phenomenal! The staff was friendly and welcoming and the food was amazing... from appetizers to desserts! Their wine list is exceptional. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The soda bread and sideswere perfect compliments to our entrees. Loved the casual atmosphere and are looking forward to visiting again! Read more
