I walked in and was not greeted by anybody. Decided I would seat myself. Walked around and all empty tables were not bussed. ... Still no assistance. Sat at the bar. Was only one person working at bar. She was working hard and was very polite. OrderedPanchos as an appetizer. Took forever and looked like nachos I made in microwave as a 14yr old. Sent these back and orderedfried mushrooms instead. These were exactly like any fried cheap appetizer u would expect from TGIF. Batter had no seasoningat all. They were very hot and batter was not crispy? Then ordered lobster bisque. Came almost room temp. Sent back. Cameback barely hot enough. Was provided a stir spoon. Lol. Had to ask for a soup spoon. Not sure there was any lobster in this. Had three beers while waiting thru this and they were not cold. This place is not cheap. Seems like they need to figure outthe basics. I was prepared to order a regular entree but after the disappointing appetizer rodeo I was afraid too. Left stilla little hungry. I did receive a food discount without having to ask. Everyone was nice. This is an expensive place. Thekitchen is not in order. Hopefully they turn it around. I remember this place as a kid. Read more

I was initially a bit apprehensive about downtown Laredo, but the location is great on one of the oldest plaza's in Texas, right... across from the La Posada Hotel that will conveniently park your car while you dine. This is a small place with the bardownstairs and the main dinning room and kitchen upstairs. Excellent service and drinks. I tried the "Angels on Horseback";Three Bacon-wrapped shrimp, grilled pineapple, brandy barbecue sauce, Lobster Bisque and of course the "Tack Room" Churrascotenderloin, all of which were outstanding... especially the steak! But I had to leave room for the Bananas Foster dessert...almost as good as the original... Wish they would offer table side flambé service! An outstanding meal... and I'll be back! Read more
Outstanding stand alone restaurant. Great selection of steaks and sides. Made my potato the were I asked for. Baked, burnt and... diced up with onions and bacon. Just like my mother in law use to make me. Bartenders wonderful. Will be back for prime ribnight. Read more
