Stopped in for a drink at the bar. Service was good, drink was good, a little too sweet for my tastes, but did the job. Prices... are reasonable and on par. Always freezing temperature inside, dirty floors, bad smell inside the restaurant, unfriendly staff, no one seems to care about... you, long wait for food, especially if you come in the middle of the day when the restaurant is almost empty. The quality of thefood leaves a lot to be desired, the same dish may be good one time, but impossible to eat the next time. It?s not a time I come in this Applebees and don?t wish I didn?t just take the 20 minute drive to a different location. The... service is poor, the waiters are sitting at the table with customers instead of attending to the other paying customers. It?ssomething everytime I come in. On October 15th at approximately 7 pm my family and I visited this location. My mother ordered a 6 oz sirloin, I ordered an 8 oz... sirloin and my father ordered fish and chips. I?ve eaten at steakhouses from Texas Roadhouse level to Michelin star level steakhouses and almost all in between. Both my mothers 6 oz and my 8 oz were cooked EXACTLY how we ordered them. She ordered amedium and I ordered my and I quote ?rare rare?. I?ve had to send steaks back at legitimate steakhouses for overcooking them. Iam fully aware of the proper temperatures to cook and serve all meats. However, a steakhouse should be able to do rare to welldone and everything in between. Tonight I was so impressed by how perfect my steak was I told the manager here the guys in thekitchen who made it need a raise or a promotion. You wouldn?t expect to get this level of quality in a steak at some place likeApplebees, but this location delivered. No steak sauce was necessary and the flavor was all the way through the steak. If Iwas blindfolded and fed this steak and had to guess between several restaurants I would never have guessed Applebees. 10/10 Ihope I get another one like this the next time I come. Whoever was on the grill and made my steak, start applying atsteakhouses. They NEED you. Fantastic service, fantastic food. Our waitress Sheila was fantastic and our hostess Amelia wasalso wonderful! Food was fair, but the service was horrible. Although there were maybe 5 tables busy in the whole place our waiter rarely... stopped by. I had to grab the bartender as she passed by to ask for drinks to be refilled. When dinner was finished, we waitedat least 15 minutes for the waiter to give us our check. I was about ready to go in back to look for the staff FFS. When thewaiter returned with the check after giving him my card he zoomed back out of sight again. I filled out the rest with a muchsmaller tip than I am accustomed to giving. It was at that point that I noticed my card was not in the check, but on the floornearby where the waiter had dropped it on the way back to my table. We won't be going back. Read more
My girl"friend" and I, after church this past Sunday, visited this particular Applebee's. The bartender (also acting as table... server) at the get go was quite rude. And she was especially rude to my friend. My friend is 29, half Arabic/half White. She's amodel. She wears a nose ring. She's one of the greatest human beings I have ever known. The bartender clearly gave her looks ofdisdain for lack of a better term. It was so bad that I called for the manager to visit us at our table. My intent was not tocome down hard on her, but for the manager to give her a certain reality/ attitude check. He was appreciative of our report.Then, my friend had to depart for work (as a restaurant manager no less), so I walked her out to her car. On the way out I gavethe bartender my CC to show we weren't walking the check. I told her I'd be gone just a couple of minutes. When I came back myhalf eaten meal and drink was gone, table wiped clean. I asked the bartender about this, and she said the busboy didn't know. Mythought is why didn't she tell this busboy that I was coming back? I was gone less than 3 min. I did get a to go replacementmeal. Still didn't feel satisfaction. Applebee?s is the place to go late night (after 10pm) for half priced appetizers. I like the chicken wanton tacos. My son wanted... an actual meal this time so he got a steak. He said it was decent and ate the whole thing. Served with mashed potatoes andbroccoli, it was a solid meal for a reasonable price. They often seem understaffed but their workers do a great job and hustle. Read more
