We recently ate here and it was great. The outdoor patio atmosphere is wonderful with a nice view of the Organ mountains. If you... like mole this restaurant is a must try. I highly recommend asking for the mole sauce sampler. It isn't listed on the menu, butthey serve a sample of their mole sauces with chips. Then you can decide which sauce you would like on your chicken breast orenmolada dish. They have a nice selection of a variety of dishes on their menu. The service is welcoming and attentive. We arelooking forward to eating here again soon. Thank you Paisano Cafe for an enjoyable eating experience! Read more

I started with their soup of the day, potato and hatch chile. It was very good and mildly hot. I had their chiles en nogada. I... also enjoyed those. I order them wherever they're on the menu and am often surprised at what I get. These are the best I've hadin the US. They have traditional and more novel dishes. I went back the following day and tried their enmoladas w/Poblano mole(four moles available). Mole Poblano is made from scratch. It was very good. Rice and beans were also above average. What I havesampled calls me to go back and try some of their specialties. Went back with a group. Everyone liked the food. We arrived latefor luch and early for dinner and the server change had kinks. They were out of shrimp and it took a while (half way through ourappetizers) for the waiter to come out and tell us. Same waiter didn't check on me even once on my last visit. Service could useimprovement. If the food weren't as good, I wouldn't return. Service is consistently lacking. Timeliness in bringing the coursesout make or break a dining experience. Went for lunch this time. Server was pleasant and efficient this time. I had the caldoTlalpeño and enjoyed it. Read more

We enjoyed a wonderful evening tonight. Our guacamole, black bean and tostada appetizer was a perfect beginning to a lovely... meal. The Pecan Salmon was delicious! My husband enjoyed his tampiqueña steak as well. We have been frequenting this locallyowned restaurant for years and have always had a wonderful experience. The staff has always been friendly, accommodating andprofessional. The food and service are second to none! Easy to rate Paisano Cafe with five stars! Read more

Authentic Oaxaca cuisine and very reasonable prices. The sauces are outstanding, and I would return here again and again, based... solely on their chiles en nogada, poblanos stuffed with a picadillo and lathered with a walnut cream sauce with pomegranateseeds. The fruits and nuts along with the ground beef in the picadillo were unlike anything I?ve had, and I enjoyed itimmensely. I made one critical error when ordering: the emmoladas come three to an order with rice and beans. I was expectingonly one of them for $9, so when my order of chiles en nogada, emmoladas mole pipian y verde, and emmoladas mancha mantelescame, it was enough for three people. I did the best I could, sampling everything, and saved the rest for leftovers. Read more

Gourmet food on a casual budget. The atmosphere felt as if we were in a cafe in a Latin country with the music playing out on... the patio. It was very clean and our waitress was so friendly and helpful with the menu. She suggested the buttered and toastedBaguette bread to go with my shredded chicken caldo and each bite felt like a treat. She suggested the red chile salsa for thechilaquiles since our complimentary chips came with green salsa so we had a taste of each and they were both absolutelydelicious. This spot is top notch and I'm looking forward to returning VERY soon. Read more
