Cañonita, Mexican restaurant inside the Venice casino and hotel. Seated next to the “grand canal” hearing the gondola... people singing their songs while cruising their customers. This Mexican city soul food restaurant is bringing tasteful food. Wehad crab cakes and they were amazing tasteful. We were not able to make a photo of the cakes because we ate them fast. Thelunch meal was burritos chicken and one with shrimp. Both tasted well and it fills like crazy. Combined with the beans andrice it was a wonderful lunch. Thanks to our beautiful waitress it became a total nice experience. We would recommend thisplace if you are craving for some nice Mexican food. Read more
Everything was delicious. Food server promptly without prolonged wait, and Hot. Good service from the waitstaff. Right next... to the canal for nice ambience. Was not expecting much from a restaurant along the canal, but walked away full and happy. Read more
Great atmosphere, was kinda busy Saturday night, but we reserved in advance, service was great, they served fast. We really... enjoyed the food especially oven roasted mussels and shrimp, we like the five sampler tacos and the chicken mole was delicious,chicken was well cooked and juicy, the mojito we had, was great as well. INCREDIBLE! First, our waiter Rico was not only the best waiter we have had in Vegas, but one of the best waiters we have had... period! He was pleasant, courteous, and provided five star service! Now onto the food. Which was phenomenal! I had the Salmonand my spouse had the 5 taco platter. I can attest that both meals were flavorful and cooked to perfection! Can't rate highlyenough! Read more
Cannonita is one of our go to places when in Vegas. It’s definitely one of the places you can find great tasting Mexican... cuisine. We’ve enjoyed the ceviche, tacos, fajitas, guacamole, chicken mole, salmon, as well as several cocktails. Theambiance is very lively and if you happen to sit next to the water then you can even enjoy the gondolas passing by every sooften. We’ve always had great service when dining for lunch and/or brunch. Read more
When we were walking around the Venetian looking for places for brunch, we saw this place was packed while others are empty. We... understood why when we stopped by. Although not having a reservation, we were sat right away at the bar. The lady at the bar wastoo nice. Her pineapple margarita was top notch. All the plates we ordered were very delicious, especially the glazed salmonwith quinoa -- best salmon dish I have ever eaten anywhere. Highly recommend! Read more
This was our second visit to Canonita, located in the Venetian Las Vegas. Best salsa ever! The last time we were here we had a... delicious meal. This time we just had a little time to kill so sat at the bar for margaritas, chips, and salsa. It was hard toresist ordering more food after seeing and smelling all the fabulous Mexican dishes coming out of the kitchen. Next time we willsave room for a meal here again. They have so many dishes to choose from, this is Mexican food elevated. So many choices formargaritas too! We stayed with the classic lime with salt, but sat next to a group of ladies that ordered other flavors, all ofwhich looked yummy. The bartender was really nice and took great care of us, keeping our drinks coming, water refilled, and chipbasket full. I’d recommend getting reservations for dinner just to make sure you don’t miss out on this terrific restaurant. Read more
Went here for enjoying a margarita and to eat a little bite. The scenery is very pleasant in this resort, they really let you... feel that you are in a different world. The margarita s were served in large glasses, on a classic and the other a hot dessert.They were enjoyable but could have done with some more tequila content. We shared a really special vegetarian dish called ChileRelleno. It is a mushroom stuffed paprika accompanied by rice and black beans. Read more
