Before I get into the food, let me first highlight the staff and their service! When my husband and I walked in we were warmly... greeted and taken to our table. My server was on point the entire time, and even though the place was packed her attentivenessand her presence did not lack. Now on to the food. My goodness the menu was filled with comfort classic dishes that make youfeel like you are back home at grandma?s house. Every dish I tried was full of flavor and so authentic, you could tasteabsolutely taste the love put into this food. Read more

I have eaten soul food joints all around Las Vegas. This place helped me confirm there is not a solid Soul food restaurant in... this town. Ford took 32 min to hit the table. It was not bad just not great. No flavor or seasoning to the sides or catfish. Thewaitress we had was slow and was foreign to the term multitasking. I wont be back. Read more

All 3 servers working the front of the restaurant was very friendly and nice. The place was clean and in order. I had the... Catfish dinner it came with 2 sides collard greens , yams and hush puppies. And because I love sweets I ordered 2 desserts! Andmy server gave me a free slice of cake because the last slice of German chocolate cake was so small. Customer service5??! Everything was absolutely delicious! Thanks for the recommendation Madonna from Phaz ii balloons. Read more

The Gumbo is delicious and piping hot. Fresh and full of flavor, paired with collar greens. The lady helping me is very nice and... reminded me the portions are big, so I wouldn't get too overly ambitious?? will definitely be back again. Read more

Darla's is by far thee best soul/cajun food restaurant in Vegas. The food is served fresh to order. No heat lamps for sitting,... stale menu options. Chef Albert, the owner, & Chef Marcus are great cooks; a force to be reckoned with together. They deliverconsistency.???? You're sure to be in great hands @Darla's! The ambiance is nice & the presentation is superb. Such a gem. Read more

Stopped by, thought it was the other soul food place before them. So my review comes in with customer service being top notch.... Regina was polite n thoughtful. The food was hot, fresh n ready, my only complaint the gravy was canned or packaged, not good atall. When u advertise soul food ur gravy has to be on point. So I will visit again because once I read the concept behind therestaurant made me want to support even more. Thanks for my late lunch???? Read more

Having missed an opportunity to try Darla's when I was in town visiting family for Easter--tried to stop by on a Tuesday before... I left, it was a top priority as soon as I landed back in town the Thursday before for Mother's Day...and it definitely was agreat experience... Nothing sets the tone for a great dining experience than the welcome greeting of your host...and Tashadefinitely let us know we were in good hands. That was followed by great service. Then came the food... I had the smotheredpork chops with spice cabbage and rice&gravy. My mom had red beans and rice with andouille sausage. Served fresh and hit, itwas more than enough and it was all good. In addition, to top it off, I had a slice of sock-it-to-me cake...and a slice of7-up, to go. Both were good. However, as good as our experience was, the table next to us, had the shrimp and grits...and,now, I had to try that...and that's what I did, today... To avoid the possibility of a wait on a Saturday morning, I got thereat opening. Again, greeted by Tasha AND Chef/Owner Albert, I knew I was in for another good experience...AND the shrimp andgrits did not disappoint. The interesting twist to this dish is the grit "cake"--instead of grits. This had egg, green onionsand bacon. The sizeable shrimp are placed on top and smothered in a nice gravy. I ordered a side of catfish to complement themeal...well-seasoned it did just that...and another great experience in the books. So, another star for consistency... Darla'sis definitely in rotation for my Vegas visits...and I will make sure my fellow visiting and local friends support. Read more
