I wish I had come here before I was pregnant, but even with morning sickness La Cucina has some of the freshest most authentic... Italian I’ve had. I would of indulged in more flavors if I I could of handled it. If you’re worried about overly saltycheesy food, you won’t find it here (unless you ask for extra cheese) . The insalate Caprese uses minimal ingredients and isfilled with tomatoes and freshly sliced creamy mozzarella chunks. My husband and daughter had so much calamari and steak theywere up all night. It was that good and tender. Their marinara is low sodium and tastes like fresh tomatoes and basil. Youdon’t even need meat in your sauce with the ravioli because the ricotta is creamy and filling. We got dessert and cafe. Thelatte was a real Italian latte with pure cinnamon sprinkles. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. They are generous with the bread which is filling and cooked in a fire oven. It’s not dripping with salt and butter, butit’s served with a side of olive oil and basalmic. They specially prepared a dish of their marinara ravioli with extra basiljust for my husband to bring home to his pregnant wife. Their are not a lot of people on staff and the dining area is small, butthat makes it more remarkable because between 2-4 of them everyone was getting their food rather quickly. La Cucina will be onmy return list of restaurants. Read more

We are regulars here. Food is as close to Italy food as you can get. Great pizza and esp. their dough. They use superior olive... oil with their bread they give. I am not a pasta guy but I do eat it here. Look forward to returning back for my pizza fix. Read more

We generally make regular visits to La Cucina in Lauderdale by the sea. The food is genuine Italian and delicious! They offer... take out but the owners/staff are so lovely it's always nice to visit with them. If you're looking for an excellent meal(especially their pizza) this is the place in LBTS! Can't wait to go back again soon. Read more

Came to La Cucina on a Thursday evening to dine alone, and I would go back. I ordered meatballs as an appetizer, and tagliatelle... con verdure e salsicca as my entree. The meatballs were delicious, and the pasta was perfectly cooked. I enjoyed the consistencyof the pasta sauce but wish there was more of a wine/lemon flavor, after a while it seemed slightly bland. Service was okay, seemed to be busy with a large party inside (I sat outside). Waiter didn’t seem to pay me as much attention as the largerparties. I would still go back, maybe when it wasn’t so busy. La Cucina exemplifies how Italian should taste. The pasta is homemade, the bread freshly baked. The buttery sage sauce was so... good, I could have bathed in it. The service was informative with specials, pleasant and efficient. You value fiends mightscoff you don't get two pounds of dinner generating a week of leftovers. Being a value fiend myself, the quality was so high, the sauce so rich, I was very full on 9 forkfuls and bread. They don't have the variety typical of most Italian places. Themenu is smaller. However, the quality is sky high, and you'll find yourself not caring - wow, try it. Read more

Don't let the size of this restaurant intimidate you. It is classy, romantic, high quality Italian food from a great staff. I... can't even name most of the fancy pastas we ordered, but everything we got was wonderful. The staff will also talk with you andteach you how to pronounce each one. So fell comfortable in asking about them. The home made bread appetiser would have beenworth paying for, but they bring it for free. Which dips perfectly into whatever pasta dish you decide on. Nearly all pasta ismade in house on site. Outside of the pear filled one that's imported (definitely order this if you're unsure!). There is also agreat wine list available. They serve sparkling and still water and offer it once you sit down, but a note of advice, be readyto pay for each bottle ($4-$6 I believe). Read more
