Decidedly uninspiring. Not the worst buffet I've ever eaten but not great either. The steamed shrimp or mushy and a lot of the... food tasteless. There were some bright spots though. The green beans were well seasoned and the pepper chicken was really good.Sesame chicken was okay. Salmon and other fish were tasteless. There was plenty of fresh fruit available so that's anotherbright spot. If you like blue crabs they do have them on the buffet but they were so small I didn't think it was worth theeffort. The cost was only $16 but I would rather pay more to get better food. Read more
I went on a Tuesday evening It is a buffet not the best and not the worst I've been to. They're is a large selection of food... mostly fried food nuggets, fries, fish, and chicken. In my instance the fried chicken looked appetizing but was likely frozenchicken not thawed and deep fried from a bag. The sushi selection was quite small mostly imitation crab sticks variants andsalmon belly. As for food preparation the cook had his phone out and was preparing the sushi without gloves, and going back andforth between touching his phone on the cutting board which is a big NO in any establishment. They do load up the buffet trayslike a food trough piled high so keeping food at temperature so the quality isnt all the way through. Overall GrandE buffet is acheap alternative to eating out if you want a large selection of food. It is a quantity over quality establishment. Read more
We didn't have to wait long to be seated. The food was good especially the skewered chicken, lamb and onions, baked salmon and... broccoli lol mein. The chilled shrimp were not good. They were soft. Nice atmosphere. I was surprised that it wasn't busier fora holiday weekend (Labor Day). It was spacious and had a good number of folks . Read more
Multi-cultural dishes, affordable and yummy. Staff are great and plenty of parking for cars & bus-load customers. Seniors get... discounts. Highly recommend it especially as they open. Thanks GrandE, will come back for more! Read more
First time here, initially I was impressed with the selection and amount of food available. We got here at 2:30pm and did not... realize there was a price difference between Lunch and Dinner time (it?s a 3$ difference.) around 3:15 my mom grabbed 1 crab asher final treat. The waitress then came over out of nowhere and said that Crabs are only ONE per person and she can?t getanymore?. I was like W T F ?.. my mom wasn?t bothered as she only wanted one anyway? but I was getting HOT. Lol Later there wasa family behind us that showed up and the same waitress started yelling at them for getting too much seafood, and the manageralso came over and started yelling at them saying they need to pay more. It was disturbing to see the employees yelling andcausing a scene. They were extremely disrespectful to their customers and it ruined our family outing. The manager not onlycharged these people more money, they also took the plates of Seafood from them. I?m not saying this was racially motivated,but it was interesting to see them haggle a non English speaking family vs. Seeing Asian families around us pile their plates upwith Crabs and other seafood items Customer service here is a 0 , the food wasn?t seasoned the best anyway, I give that a2/5. Don't be fooled by the outside....come in, this restaurant has everything you want fresh sushi, spareribs, every dish that can... be made with chicken, fish, shrimp clams and much much more. A cornucopia of vegetables, salad bar, fruit and desserts. Put allthat into a clean and very well run establishment with really nice servers and you've got a great culinary experience. Read more
Very good for the price. Many varieties of food including but not limited to seafood salad desserts soul food a taco station... soup and an ice cream machine. Some food was room temperature but still good. They even had real wasabi! I highly recommend. Ionly took a photo of my first plate and forgot the others. Read more
I requested a quiet and less crowded area of the restaurant to eat because I was on the phone with my employees and had to work... at the same time. But apparently the waitress girl put me next to a table of very loud and obnoxious two black women who wereconstantly harassing me while I was trying to eat. I didn?t even finish my first plate and had to leave the premise. I hope theowner sees this and I will leave 5 stars when this issue is resolved. Read more
