I love this place! It’s been a while since I was able to make it back but I was so happy with my order. So many authentic... Indian vegetarian options made to order. We ordered methi gota, vada pav, paapdi chaat and samosa chaat to go and we lovedit! Armando was very helpful, he took our order over the phone and it was ready and packed well when I arrived. I ordered togo because they only had a few tables before but now it’s fully renovated with more tables to eat in. We can’t wait for thereopening as Jalsa coming soon. We will definitely be regulars! I am not Indian, but I've been trying to learn how to cook Indian food. I needed fresh curry leaves in addition to some other... spices. The owner was so sweet (Dhiraj?) and showed me everything that I needed to make the food that I researched. He wasvery helpful and supportive. He even gave me some fresh sprigs from the kitchen since what I needed wasn't available in apackage. Everything was fresh, clean, and reasonably priced that was for sale in the grocery section. The operating people Dhirajbhai and his family are as nice as their food. Their paav bhaji is soo yumm and I am totally sold out... with their dry fruit milkshake. The plate of kachori they offered me was so fresh, yummy and with just right quantity of spiceswhich makes you keep wanting for more. Lovely restaurant. I would highly recommend visiting them. Seriously amazed how good the food was.... !!!! This is going to be my go-to spot for Chaat places for sure. Going to try all... the menu items. The menu isn't big unnecessarily. They only make items they excel at. We tried their chai... Wow lovely..garma garam freshly made masala tea which wasn't overly sweet. It was just perfect... Set the good tone for the other items weordered. Then we ordered dahi puri. Don't be fooled as to how it looks. It doesn't come with sev which I hope it did whichmakes it look like a sad dish and oh my Lord !!! I am not exaggerating when I say it's the best dahi puri I have ever had. Burstof flavours. Perfect combo of masala and chutneys. Then we ordered dabeli. Soooo buttery. Great Bombay paw. Masala was good. Iwish the stuffing was more ( I like a thick dabeli myself ) but it was great ! Then lastly the pan. I am from Kolkata and ittook me back to the kolkata streets. The pan melts in your mouth and that's how you know it's a good pan leaf. I ate one andwent to my car and then went back to get 3 more for home. ???? I need to try a lot of things.. Uncle is very sweet and willserve you to your table and won't let you stand up. We got puff, bombay bhel, bombay club sandwich and masala chai. Everything was amazing and made to order. It now goes by Jalsa... Indian Kitchen. There is no longer a grocery store. There is nothing like this in south jersey - it is Indian street food at itsbest. There also sell paan here. It is vegetarian. There is also south food here, we have to come back to try that.
