All the reviews are very misleading. They weren't very busy but service was terrible. As we ordered our food the power went out... but we were told it was fine because they cook with gas. It was good - my dish was exceptional but my wife's was mostly onions, and the sushi was decent at best. For a smaller town... Japanese cuisine restaraunt it was good. Service was friendly, atmosphere was nice, but food was hit or miss. Read more
We had high hopes for this as we passed through from the highway. The food quality was poor and everything was a bit off: ?miso?... soup with a very off putting smell and no seaweed or tofu, tempura with no panko- heavily breaded, veg roll with lettuce in it,all salad mix salad, no Japanese soy sauce (came with Chinese soy sauce). The service was friendly, everything was packaged welland our order was correct. If only the food was good! First thing I noticed when I unpacked my food was I didn't have a spoon or fork to eat with. Which I needed because I was... staying in a hotel room, luckly I found one. My salad was wilted Brown. The hibachi steak and chicken was lacking in flavor.The white sauce which you can see on the left hand side of the picture was terrible it was more of a ketchup based. First time eating from here and had take out and it was excellent. Got 2 dinner combos and an appetizer. I called in the order,... & the lady who took my order was very polite, and patient with me. The vegetables are delicious and fresh. The appetizer, BangBang Shrimp, was fresh and tasty. Will eat from here again Read more
You can't expect a good Asian restaurant in Laurinburg , but this place is very nice and the service was good . I really like... the decor inside . I live in Las Vegas , Nevada where we have a ton of Asian restaurants , so I am probably more critical thanthe average person in Laurinburg and the area would be . I went with some friends of mine that I was visiting that live here . I come to the Carolinas every couple of years and stay in Laurinburg a couple days to see friends and family . They didn't haveGeneral Tso's Chicken on the menu , but they said they could make it for me . It was okay , but nothing special . I came hereon October 6 , 2021 , so I can't really recall what my friends had except one had some soup with his meal and wasn't sure whatit was . I think it was Miso , but he said it was kind of bland , but he finished it . We all got good portions where we hadto ask for a to go box . I would have to say this would be the best Asian restaurant in the area . Years ago I went to aChinese Buffet in town with my sister and it was a real let down . They had a pretty good selection , but you could honestlysay it tasted like items from a frozen Chinese dinner and not even a good one . The service was also bad . Food tasted amazing. The prices are definitely fair although on my visit the service was subpar. I'm not sure why because our... waitress was constantly checking on us. Still my food came out much later than others who showed up after we arrived andordered. All that being said I loved it. Read more
Delicious shrimp fried rice. Taylor was an excellent waiter..she made our luncheon special.
