Not happy with change. We thought since everything in Lawrence was busy with graduation we have had good experience in the past ... at the grille. Wrong. We all got buffet breakfast 5 of us. By the time we ordered drinks at the bar. Our food was COLD. It wasnot tasty at all. We also put a couple plates off to the side even before we got food they were dirty! Needless to say was nota good experience! At least KU graduation was good. Read more

Came in got seated by Jordan she was very nice the server never came over to us and walked up to a new table(seated after us)... and got their drinks after about 15 mins we still didn't have our drinks so we order our to go with Jordan the one with brainsaround there! The manager Daphne Goff came to the register and we told her that her server forgot about us and we were nowleaving didn't even look up at us said sorry and continued on messing with the register Poor service!!! Hy-vee Market Grill is surprisingly good. Chef Ken Warren's influence can still be felt years after his departure. The queso and... guacamole dips are excellent. The hamburger I had was almost as good as the hamburger I had at Henry T's Monday night. The bartender Laney was outstanding as a waitress. This is a very economical place to eat and drink. Enjoy! Waited an hour and a half for ice cold food. The restaurant wasn't even half full and still waited that long. The wait would've... been ok if the food came out nice and hot but nope. The warmest thing wasn't even room temperature which is weird because thetwo burgers were completely burnt. I ordered shrimp tacos and they came out with dried up, cold, extremely small shrimp. By farthe worst experience I've had at a restaurant. I paid for my drinks and left. Read more

Super nice food. Great service. Usually has no wait on the line. Lots special events to attend. Can't love here more.
