The breakfast burrito special on the weekends is ????!! It?s so much food, and all delicious. I would love to see a vegetarian... option for it, however they obviously specialize in meats so I am glad that they do have a decent vegetarian menu otherwise. Read more

Really tasty food! Drinks are not from a machine, cans or bottles. Only down side is not the best location, very little room for... dine in and the bathroom is in another part of the building. Read more

I have mixed views after visiting Leeway Franks. My order was taken quickly and she said it would be ten minutes but I dont... think it was that long and the business is nice and I had a pleasant wait. When I opened my Chili dog with tots it looked greatand I had a good amount of tots and for a chili dog it didn't look overly messy. The dog was good and the tots were good but alittle on the cold side after I watched them sit on the counter while they prepared food but overall it was a good lunch. But,,,, I paid thirteen dollars for a chilidog with tots and no drink and while I can easily afford it, it is a lot of $$ forwhat I got. But, I saw the price on the menu and I ordered it and it was a decent lunch. Also, a fork and a napkin would havebeen nice but maybe they are available for self serve and I didnt see them. Read more

I needed a Philly cheese steak, and Frank's was more than willing to oblige. It was exactly what I needed: meaty, cheesy, with... crisp pepper and soft onions. It was one of the nicest I've had, the bread didn't get soggy, it wasn't too heavy on the cheeseand the meat was cooked to a soft perfection. The staff were incredibly friendly too, making the whole experience reallypleasant. Definately somewhere I'll be coming back to. Read more

Stopped by to check out the Leeway Franks chili dog. I've been traveling around trying out chili dogs for awhile now and I was... anxious to try this one. The chili dog had a beef frankfurter, yellow mustard, chili, diced white onion and a bun. The bestpart of the dish was the all beef frankfurter itself. It had a good skin that snapped when you bit into it. The chili wasdecent. The onion seemed fresh and the mustard gave the dish that vinegary, mustardy note in the back. Overall a good chilidog! #KCFoodie #CulinaryAdventures #ExploreYourCity #LawrenceKS #NatApproved Read more

I admit I tried Leeway after I moved away from Lawrence because of their Twitter. Now it's one of the spots I have to hit when... I'm in Lawrence or passing through ( sorry burger stand). The first thing I tried was the Reuben Dog and I always hope it'll beon the menu again when I'm in town. It was AMAZING. if you're not eating right away, request the wet stuff on the side so youdon't get soggy (I don't care and I think it's part of the experience YMMV). This is just a quality beef frank with greatflavour. I've tried salad, fries and tots and they're all good. The salad is an experience. It's not your regular side salad andis made with high quality ingredients. Fries I didn't find super exciting. They're hearty, natural tasting and not overlysalted. They're definitely not bad--i think I'm not particularly excited about fries in general. Tots are usually a little saltyfor me but I tend to err on the side of undersalting. They're perfectly cooked and crispy. Again I'm just not excited about totsin general. Packaging is effective and conservative and there is no excess waste.
