Went in to grab dinner on the way home. Signs were over all the credit card machines saying ?cash only.? Then I spotted the ATM.... Felt like a cheap cash grab for the ATM fees so we left without ordering. Used to stop here when I was in college but won?t bemaking that mistake again. Read more
The cashier and order taker at the Lawrence turnpike location is the worst person for this customer service position. The guy is... unfriendly, standoffish, has zero personality to serve the public, borders on rude, and is not motivated in any way. His voiceis weak and hard to hear and understand. If you want to spend $6 on a Quarter Pounder or $25 for 2 people to have a quick lunch then this McDonald's is for you. I call... it highway robbery. I suggest you pass this up and stop at the next stop about 15 minutes west . I've grown tired of McDonald'sripping people off with high prices, substandard food and terrible customer service. Really didn?t stop for the restaurant but ended up going inside for a snack. I wasn?t impressed with the ice cream or slushie... but the service was prompt and friendly. Seems to be a highway trooper favorite. Read more
The food was good and filling. The only issue I had was that the gal who served us didn't seem to understand us very well. ... Whether it was a noise issue (as this was a service island location off the toll road) or a language issue, she seemed not to beable to understand our questions. We got what we wanted anyway, though.
