Took my wife to Merchants For our Anniversary. Lucky#13! We have traveled all over and ate in some of the finest restaurants.... This ranks at one of the top! Had the best meal at Merch! The Strawberry sage spritz cocktail (a special) was perfect. We shared goat cheese with fig jam,... French fries, and crab cakes. I had the chopped salad for lunch and it had really good mustard dressing. A must go! Read more
My fiance and I stop in here every now and then and every experience has been fantastic! Down to the Very friendly staff and... knowledgeable barkeeps to the incredible appetizers which we usually dine on to the fact that the place is an old bank and therestrooms are actually on the old bank vault is a very cool historic feature. Amazing beer selection also of course. I have torecommend the Bee stingers I think they're called? Probably my favorite app on the menu. Highly recommend! Read more
This restaurant is easily my favorite in Lawrence! Typically I'm a very picky eater but my S.O. and I have loved absolutely... everything we've tried here! Staff is super friendly and happy hour has great deals. Usually I skip apps and dessert but herethey are a must-have! Be sure to notify the host about mobility needs -- there's a full flight of stairs to get to some of thetables! Read more
Wonderful meal and dynamite ambiance. We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch experience from the warm greeting we received, the... drinks, and the meal itself. Very impressed with the amount of local foods incorporated into each meal as well. Good selectionof beers. Hat tip for the $5 bloody Mary as well. Enjoyed the "healthy option" brunch entree and was delighted--perfect portionsize, delicious, and I cleaned my plate. It's not an ideal place to take kids and there wasn't a kids menu but we were able tocobble together a number of sides. The staff were friendly and accommodating to us bringing our children but this is notmarketed as a family restaurant so we didn't expect a kids menu. Beautiful space as well...nice touch in that they kept theoriginal bank vault and door that you pass through to reach the restrooms. I’m giving Merchants 5 stars for several reasons. 1. Although it can be pricey, we went for happy hour and got a great deal... on our visit. 2. The food is amazing! So, it seems reasonable that they would be charging a little more than otherestablishments. 3. Since it was HH we also had drinks and they were also amazing! ? 4. Our waiter was great. Very attentive,friendly, helpful and professional. No complaints on service! 5. This is just a SUPER cool place to eat, drink and hangout withfriends. I mean the restrooms are in a giant bank vault!?! How cool is that? The ambiance is great here! Super high ceilings!Very classy and clean. So, in conclusion Merchant’s checks off a lot of boxes for me. Some may complain about the prices, butthey are going up everywhere, so you better get used to it or don’t go out. Read more
We showed up here unexpected because everywhere else was closing at 9pm. We sat at the bar to wait for a table and it wasn't... long after we were seated. Our server was Drew and he was very nice and suggestive with the menu on what to eat ! We loved allthe food we ate. The soup was so tasty and amazing! I wanted to see what the kitchen looked like and on my way to the bathroom,BOOM, it was right there. Open kitchen! You'll love the bathroom. Really awesome place to grab a bite to eat. Atmosphere was great. Service was phenomenal. Food was delectable. We decided to... share a few small plates so we could try a variety of dishes. The arancini were sooooo good. Crisp on the outside and meltygoodness on the inside sitting on a scrumptious sauce. Manchester bee bites had a drizzle of honey and cracked pepper, deliciousand I cannot wait to put that on my next cheese board. Potato, leek soup was amazing. My only regret was that I did not ordera bowl of it! Hubby also ordered the chorizo sweet potato taco and fried chicken taco, and stated they may have been the besttacos he's ever had! ???? Read more
